We needed a bigger table when friends joined us and the staff went to a great deal of trouble to arrange this with no fuss at all smiling all the time

Breakfast coffee a bit thin is the worst thing i can say!

We had an upgrade on the room so we were in the main hotel over looking the park. Room was clean and spacious.Staff always friendly and helpful. We also had a great evening meal with good service.

DINNER QUALITY; MODERN OUTFIT: PEACEFUL LOCATION

RECEPTIONIST WANTED TO PUT ME IN BACKYARD BUILDING BUT CORRECTED DECISION QUICKLY AT MY PROTEST

Hotel staff are surprisingly pretentious, outrageously arrogant and disappointingly unfriendly. They apparently love to treat their guest in a 'you can only afford to stay in MY hotel, because you've got a special offer' (which I had not). Somebody please tell these guys, that is is the guests paying their salaries and if the staff are interested in a future business of this venue they immediately should throw their extremely offensive attitude away!

Location was brilliant, short walk into Barnstaple and the park just opposite. Lovely seating out the front for drinks and the staff were dog friendly and brought over a bowl of water for him. Lovely double sink in the bathroom

Room was smaller than expected. We had a room with a view over the car park, but didn't pay for a park-facing room so can't complain!

Staff were great. The location by the park is nice if slightly cramped .

Rooms are cramped. Small annoyance was a £3 supplement charge for certain breakfast items - unnecessary, just add it to the room rate and it won't be a problem.

I had booked a standard double room which got up graded to a large room over looking the park at no extra cost. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We had tea, coffee, biscuits and water in the fridge. We had lunch sat outside which was very good quality.

Carpet in 303 was dirty & room lacked any good ventilation particularly given layout & bathroom.

The room was VERY Small and the bed was hard. Staff were great and the food was to a good standard.

as I said previously the bed was very hard and I did not get a good night sleep.

1 little snag I have is that I wasn't told about the sister hotel with access to free facilities IE pool and gym

Very fresh and clean Hotel with pleasant and professional staff. Some unusual noise during the early hours of the morning from Hotel building either machine or drainage systems but overall good experience
