La chambre, était très ancienne, les prises n’est marche pas bien.

Die Lage ist sehr schön. Die Poolanlagen sind gut angelegt.
Duschen in der Badewanne. Kein Trinkwasser auf dem Zimmer. Im WC läuft das Wasser die Ganze Woche. Beim Frühstück 4X unsauberes Geschirr. Keine Teelöffel nur Holzstäbchen. Hat keine 5 Sterne verdient. Für mich 3 bis 4 Sterne. Nicht als 5 Sterne Hotel empfehlenswert.

Great rooms and facilities. Good location . Beautiful view , and wonderful pools . Wonderful and great variety of food for breakfast.

Gostei do bar do 5o. andar. Um lugar agradável para um drink de final de tarde.
O SPA é ruim (serviço e instalações). O hotel é um pouco velho. Eu pensei que ficaríamos de frente ao mar, mais ficamos de frente para a piscina. Descobri lá que haviam dois prédios. O estacionamento é péssimo para quem vai de carro. A localização não é a melhor na ilha.

Great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Restaurants are excellent and breakfast delicious and good value. Fantastic water sports.
Hotel seems a little tired. Gym has been relocated and not really adequate and similarly parts of Spa out of action. Tennis courts unusable. All in all it needs a good facelift, but it has a charm, and rooms were comfortable.

Everything! Firstly, the aerobus going from the airport stops just a few mins walk from the hotel (we also used this same bus for our departure. It is very speedy and cheap - highly recommend if you don't have a lot of luggage). We booked the room with sea view and it was absolutely stunning. The breakfast was delicious, lots of options and changed daily. We had the buffet dinner on a couple nights, it was also very good and the desserts (in photo) were amazing. The hotel definitely takes on board feedback from reviewers - during breakfast if you were sat outdoors, they had an expert with an eagle on hand shooing all the pigeons away! The location was good, far enough for it to be quiet (we fell asleep to the sound of the ocean) but you can definitely walk into the centre with all the shops/restaurants.
The fact we couldn't stay longer. I know I will definitely return :)

The free parking is terrible, every day almost full and very hard to drive there. At least they offered the last day in the paid parking.

The location was excellent. The staff was good. Breakfast was very good.
The rooms need renovation very badly. Carpet is worn out, curtains were off the hooks, bathtub was small and uncomfortable for a bath, dustbin in the bathroom was broken. Except one complimentary bottle of water one has to pay for even water.

Fabulous views, excellent rooms, great breakfast, incredible pools, lots of services and most of all without my knowledge gave me a little birthday gift as I stayed over my birthday - a complete and wonderful surprise! Absolutely loved our stay - and loved Funchal! Highly recommend!
Towels could be softer but this is very minor!

apparently a 5* hotel is allowed to not have a working heating system; although there was a thermostat in our room going from 15 to 30 degrees, it would only blow cold; when i called the reception about it, I was told that indeed the system only cools the rooms and that they can offer extra blankets if we are cold

The whole great property, sea access, very nice and helpful staff.
Great location and fantastic views from the huge terrasses.
We will be back for sure.
We think that the showers and the small toilet " house" that is meant for the pool guests, are not snny godd and not represantaive for this nice hotel.
If some improvements and maintainance of parts of the hotel were done, like carpets in the breskfast room and in the bedroom corridors, and the elevator capacity and look, this hotel could have six stars.
New front look of the entrance snd front of the building eould mske it much more attractive from the street for visitors.
