it was so hot and the air conditioning in all 3 rooms we had was minimal/old. the rooms were not modernised like the pictured on booking.com, if we had seen what we were staying in then we would have booked alternative accommodation in the center which was alot cheaper, we didn't mind paying more for this hotel because of what we believed we would be getting unfortunately this was not the case. We would not likely stay again.

The bathroom should have another bar close to the bathtube to be more safe for the client when leaving the bath.

Restaurant wasn’t as good as expected, it was ok but nothing special.

We were particularly pleased with the restaurant ,the service and quality of food. To find a restaurant open on a Sunday night in France is not always easy - but the restaurant was open and very well used with a most welcoming atmosphere. The food was very good indeed - particularly the Jerusalem Artichoke soup with mushrooms and scallops.

The staff were warm and attentive and dinner and breakfast were delicious. It was clear that this hotel cares about quality ingredients and attention to detail. Parking was convenient and the grounds of the hotel were pretty.

Although our room was perfectly comfortable, I would have preferred a more sympathetic and gentle decoration style instead of bright rainbow colored trim with LCD lights in a very modern, boxy room. The room style jarred a little with the beautiful historic French exterior of the hotel.... But that's just a taste preference, not a criticism.

Nice hotel with international guests, nice and charming environment. The reception is very friendly and helpful. In the restaurant you should book a table as early as possible. Especially on Monday many restaurants around the hotel are closed.

Cyclist friendly

My double bed was in fact two single mattresses joined by an uncomfortable piece of material that dug into you from under the bed sheet. Not what you would expect from a four star hotel.

The room was ok though we are looking outside a roof, but it was for one night so we didn't really mind. The location was good too and you can choose to park your car in their own garage underneath the hotel or park your car across the street. The breakfast was good also though we asked for more hot food as it did only have a small portion of scrambled eggs left, so they brought out some bacons. They should be aware that most of the people are on holidays and will not rush down for breakfast and not all of us prefer cold food in the morning.

We were asked when we check in if we would like to book for our dinner at the hotel which we did. We booked for 7:30 and our starter came at around 8:45 and our main meal at around 9:45. It was a long time of waiting as they have only 3 staff trying their best to cope, one chef and 2 cooks on what the staff had told us when we complained. There was an event going on too on the other room as there was a long table with people there having dinner. Our advice is NOT to over book for the restaurant if there is NOT enough staff to deal with it. Classique French cooking will be much appreciated by everyone, after all we are in France.
