cheap hotel, nothing else

no airco, poor breakfast

The room was very clean and we did not have breakfast. The property was easy to find and parking was available close. We were running late due to many accidents on the roads in France so it was lovely that the owners sent us an email for the code to the hotel entrance as the hotel close at 21.00 and we arrived at 23.30

We did not like the room we were placed in and as we NEVER saw or met any staff we could not ask for a change. We did not like being on the 4th floor. with NO lift and NO aircon. We also only had a small attic window We are both 79 years old and to climb 60 steps or more with suitcases in temperatures of over 30 degrees is not very good. The bathroom did not work. The bed had a medium quilt cover and no single sheet. The room was so hot with little ventilation. We checked and never saw a member of staff. I was never given the WIFI code

Not much, staff unwelcoming, location was too far from centre of town no local facilities only a Chinese Restaurant!

We got to the hotel too early to check in so we went to the car park opposite and parked in the shade next to a camper van with an old hippy sat in the doorway. Sat for a couple of minutes, then said hippy starts shouting at my husband who was nearest to him and tried to wrench open the car door. I reversed out as quickly as I could and he gave chase, screaming in at the driver’s door at me as I was concentrating on getting away without running him over, but he managed to give the car a couple of good hard thumps and possibly a kick as we drove past him. Given that this looked like the place we would need to leave the car overnight, the fact that we drive quite a distinctive car, and we hadn’t been able to get any response at the hotel, we left the area and booked into another hotel. Now normally I wouldn’t post this publicly, but I emailed the hotel that evening in both English and French to tell them what had happened, not, I assured them, for a refund, but to make them aware to avoid this happening to another guest. I have had absolutely no response. It was a really frightening experience and their lack of concern says a lot.

Private parking a nightmare. The area for parking is shared with the clients of the tabac attached to the hotel. Felt vulnerable to car damage from less than careful locals zooming in and out (no exaggeration)

Older hotel, but with all modern comfort. Free private parking lot. Rooms, sanitary, elevator, breakfast and price/qualty ration are good. Incredible Thai restaurant at 250m.

Good service being able to roll rooms over from last year's event. We were able to use the limited available parking. Clean and comfortable if a bit basic. 20 mins walk from town centre.

Limited facilities although what's there is all ok.

Car park on site. I was able to leave my old car in the car park for the whole of my three night stay.

This is a family run hotel with friendly helpful service. Entrance a little old-fashioned but the room was spacious, very clean and a modern, modest sized bathroom. It was easy to find on a roundabout but go straight on (if coming from west) for about 50m and there is a small parking area behind the hotel. There is a little space to park outside the front door but it is tricky to stop, it being so close to the roundabout. For an evening meal do go to La Peniche, about 10mins walk, a moored barge on the river. Quite delightful. Breakfast very good selection; there was a small courtyard garden for warmer weather. We only stopped 1 night en route to Portugal.

A lot of noise, uncomfortable beds, poorly supplied bathrooms

The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We arrived after check in hours and were given a code to the front door. Our keys were waiting for us at the front desk. The room was comfortable. A fan was included to help with the warm temperatures. Breakfast was pleasant..a typical European buffet. Our dog was welcomed with a 5€ charge for the night. This made traveling as a family so much better. We will return!

The parking lot across the street is a bit uncomfortable to be in late at night (12 am). Nothing happened but groups and campers hang out there, giving it an unsafe feeling.
