Seldomly I have experienced such friendly and friendly staff. Without asking I was offered an upgrade to a room with a stunning lakeview and at breakfast the waiter kept coming back to ask if there is anything else we need as the food was already being carried back to the kitchen. The room itself was also very spacious, had modern appliances and a comfortable bed. Great location as well.

Without considering the upgrade we got, the room would have been quite expensive I feel, especially for off-season. But when looking at other hotels, the price level seemed to be relatively high in general in Locarno. Wondering how it will be like in high season in summer.

It wasn’t my first time in H4 Hotel Arcadia, I actually go there always while coming to Locarno. The location is amazing, hotel is very clean, people working there are super nice and the most important - dogs are not only accepted but also very welcomed ! And the garden with pool!? AMAZING!

Everything was perfect: superb location on a lake, big room with a front view on the lake and mountains, great breakfast with a lot of choice. our son liked the playroom so much that he was ready to go there anytime. we had a great stay. it was quiet but still very central and close both to the old city and a famous spa. we had a half board and it were absolutely happy about it, the menu is really delicious. the room had everything we needed, including a kettle, a coffe machine and a fridge.

We arrived quite late so we really appreciated the quick check-in as well as a very nice receptionist wellcoming us with a smile and a teddy bear for our daughter. The room was very big with almost everything you need. and the view was a delight (we had a room with side lake view). Breakfast very good, with plenty of choice. All in all the hotel surprised us positively.

Unfortunately the property wasn’t really clean properly. We found a lot of dirt on all almost every surface in our room.

Not much to dislike

The room was very comfortable and had all the necessities. The breakfast was really excellent, full of choices, and the location was convenient for walking around town or taking a bus. The room was very clean, and the workers at reception were charming and helpful.

The bathroom vent ran all night, and the maintenance workers didn't get around to fixing it. The breakfast staff was extremely overworked; they were cleaning all the time, and yet there were still uncleared tables and dirty dishes everywhere, and a shortage of plates. For these prices, the management needs to hire more staff!

very comfortable room and bathroom, nice balcony. Very friendly and welcoming staff. refreshing pool and nice small gym. excellent breakfast.

although all rooms are non smoking, smoking is allowed at the balconies. unfortunately we had smoking neighbors, we had to close our door but still could smell it inside. maybe an idea to create a complete non smoking part? and/or (as we had observed in other hotels) only allow smoking at a certain part of the hotel.
