Noise from the double doors in the room, heavy keys, sub par guests that reek of smoke and slams shut the doors. It's right by the street and the constant traffic and party crowd noises drove me crazy when I needed to wake up late or take a nap. the breakfast room is tiny and gets filled up fast. Extremely friendly staff. Sparklingly clean. The hotel has been with the same family for three generations, so they know what they're doing. Very nice breakfast for an additional price. Location close to the train station. Within a walking distance to all sightseeing sites.

The staff went above and beyond. So friendly and helpful!!! The breakfast was wonderful, affordable and great quality. Location was perfect, close to train station. I was able to walk to the old town in 10 min!

The best water pressure I've ever had in a hotel! The breakfast was nice and the decor was lovely. So full of charm and history. And I liked the bar on site.

Great sized room for a single traveller with a comfy bed. Staff were friendly and kind. Near the main station which was convenient.

I’m not sure that this property is smoking free. It kind of smelt like stale cigarettes mixed with perfume in the hallway and several times throughout my one night stay, I could smell cigarette smoke in my room. Clearly poorly ventilated and smoking must be tolerated since you can smell it so easily.

Spent 5 nights in this lovely hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, great continental breakfast. We loved the room which was small and cozy with traditional decor and a cute 4 poster bed, bathroom facilities very modern. Happy hour drinks 5-7pm and can sit in the “baroque room” which is full of amazing decor and games to play. Short walking distance to Mirabell palace. Would definitely stay again!

Had a really lovely one-night stay here. The hotel owners were really helpful. The free homemade cookies at the reception desk were a nice bonus. The facilities have a really cosy feel. That said, it's not like a really modern hotel, it's a bit like stepping back in time, but I think that is part of its charm.

They need new duvets. The duvet covers didn't stay on very well (the covers were pristine) and when you see the duvet underneath it looked very old, dingy and in need of changing. It was off-putting.

Close to central train station. Buy a day pass. it is definitely worth it. Take bus 25 from central station to the cable car and the castle. A good spread of breakfast included. Very good firm bed.

The surrounding area may not be for tourist but there are good restaurants serving local Austrian food. Ask the receptionist for recommendations.
