Excellent location. We could leave our vehicle at this property and walk to the center of the city. Nice park to walk through. At the time it was under renovations but it did not hinder our stay.

The location in a beautiful park nearby the city center of Horsens and close to the highway was very good. The room was spacious enough, the bed was really comfortable and on the ground floor. Have been there before when it was Scandic who owned the place and it seems that it is getting slightly better with Comwell.

First of all, we didn´t receive any information about the hotel was under reconstruction. There were noise and closed entrances etc. It seemed like the hotel didn´t want to inform their guests to make sure they didn´t cancel their reservation. The breakfast was served in a somewhat boring conference room, due to the remodelling, apparently, of the restaurant. Still a pity when you book a hotel from the architectural features, which is the case with an old estate from the 1700s. On top of this, the buns at the breakfast buffet was boring bake-off. Actually the rest of the breakfast was delicious but the buns were really boring and dry. It didn´t live up to the standard this kind of hotel should have.

"Older" staff was really nice.

The younger staff was unconcerned and not serviceminded. Duvet was dirty and stained - luckily the duvet cover was clean

They had a very nice variety of items to choose from and was very good.

The rooms were fairly small and the floors creaked quite a bit. I am a very light sleeper so that was not the best.

very grand building with beautiful grounds. The staff were very polite and helpful. Beds were really comfortable

No tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. Some corridors in another wing had kettles etc but we did not. Ran out of fresh bread at breakfast and there were only rolls left. Coffee machine also ran out, in spite of being in the dining room one hour before breakfast actually finished.

Hotel has improved so much since Comwell took over. The staff are so friendly and helpful and its obvious they are so happy working there. Everytime I visit there are improvements and I cant wait to see it once the renovations are completed.

Location was perfect for the city and sea. Dogs were very welcome.

No food or drink served on Sundays!
