Our room on arrival was smelling like sewerage.

Nice hotel inside and had showering facilities before my room was ready

Ligging

Arriveerde rond middennacht en hotel was overboekt en had niets geregeld bij de zuster hotels van IHG dus voordat we een alternatief geregeld was waren we een uur verder plus transport ! Airco viel continu uit en het hotel heeft geen load shedding !

La gentillesse et disponibilité du personnel

Le dîner et petit déjeuner très moyen, certains d entre nous ont eu des maux de ventre. Équipement douche défectueuse, 1 seule bouteille d eau pas chambre!

Location

Big point to consider - this Hotel is not geared for Load shedding - specifically the aircon doesn't work when there is loadshedding. Didn't get the room we booked - had to get the manager involved for the Hotel to honor the room we booked. There are other Hotels in Rosebank - I would give this one a skip.

Great area (even if it is the New Yorkof SA),, easy to find. Water at reception is a great thing to have. Breakfast was above and beyond. Staff at front door were great.

A little pricey, staff didn't communicate important information to us about our group trip.

The hotel is right next to the mall, which was extremely convenient as there are many shops and restaurants. The hotel is also a stopping point for the Hop On Hop Off bus, so it is well suited for tourists. Also, the woman at reception and the manager worked very hard to allow me to check in early as I was quite tired from my flight. It was wonderful to be able to have the room a little earlier than expected. The housekeeper also helped with me with my room key multiple times when I was having difficulty getting into the room (my fault).

Breakfast and room size

When we went to check-in they advised that there was only 1 room booked, we showed the confirmation then they said there were 3 rooms booked. We also did not get the type of room selected and paid for. Staff said they cant help its a booking.com issue.
