Claes and his lodge were simply excellent. The host was friendly, informative, and made me feel right at home. The lodge itself was perfect - homely, spacious, and had every facility you would need. The bed was super comfortable and it was just what I needed after a busy month of travelling on the rougher side. For the cost, it's an absolute steal.

Beautiful location in an orchard close to Kerikeri township, surrounded by nature and loved the fresh sweet orchard oranges for breakfast.

There is some minor background noise from the nearby main highway if you leave the windows open.

It is located on a Plantation. Klaas provided us with some freshly picked Oranges grown here. Delicious. Very quiet place. We enjoyed the surrounding. Especially the pigs ;) Short drive to shops and restaurants.

The location was convenient and the animals were a treat. The owner was friendly too.

The photos advertised were exceptionally misleading and did not capture the facitilies we encountered. Photos should be updated and labelled so that future guests know which photos pertain to which rooms as we were expecting facilities similar to that shown but did not get them.

Good location for purpose of our visit

Nice welcome on arrival. Friendly staff and other guests were interesting and friendly also. Loved the animals and especially Nica, the older dog. Good conversations with the staff and Inga is helpful. Good for city folk to stay in the countryside for a nice breakaway.

Location a bit hard to find as it's on the main busy road. Best to carry on from the Kerikeri turn off and then turn around further up Hy 10 for safety reasons. This is just a suggestion to help others.

Being in the middle of a beautiful orange orchard and the pet Kuni kuni pigs and piglets, we enjoyed feeding and patting them. We were also visited by a friendly Labrador and some chickens. Owner was kind enough to offer to pick us up late at night from the airport after our plane from Auckland being cancelled and having to travel 5 hours by bus. (we were unable to pick up our rental car till the following day) Nice quiet surroundings close to the airport and a short drive (5min) to Kerikeri. We will definitely come and stay again.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend to everyone including and especially families. : )
