Easy check-in - secure parking - comfortable beds

No dish soap, no cleaning cloths, no face cloths, non-stick frying pan horribly scratched, not enough cooking utensils, glass on table slides around easily and is a hazard for children

Conocí este hotel en sus mejores tiempos. Los exteriores se ven muy bien. La habitación en que estuvimos desgastada, vieja, amueblaba con los mismos muebles de hace veinte o treinta años. Sus propietarios tienen una perla entre las manos; pero no lo está invirtiendo dinero a las habitaciones. El restaurante fue espectacular, excelente comida y ahora lo tiene cerrado. El desayuno es muy básico, ni siquiera tiene desayuno típico. Da pena que esta belleza de hotel no esté siendo gerenciada como se debe o que los propietarios estén escatimando en sus habitaciones. Quizás tengan otras habitaciones mejores; pero la que nos dieron, grande y espléndida, tiene todo para competir con buenos hoteles en San José. Los dueños podría re-invertir sus ganancias en este hotel y recuperar la gloria que tuvo.

The architecture

A bit tired

beautiful property, feels more like apartment living rather than a hotel. Pet friendly, lots of areas to walk your pet even though they prefer you to walk them off property, they don't have a problem if you walk them on-site. The all-day coffee machine, jacuzzi and pool and sauna are a big plus. The staff is wonderful, by the time we left, the staff knew our names and our dog. Gated entrance, and ample parking. Our room was cleaned everyday unless we requested otherwise. Easy to catch a cab or Uber. Front desk will call one for you if you ask.

The Jacuzzi and sauna are only available 10 a-6p. You have to request the sauna half an hour before you want to use it. Not a big deal. Its a bit far from everything.

Muy bueno el desayuno, las instalaciones muy bien cuidadas y lindas, el personal muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La piscina muy linda.

Very spacious, quiet location, cleanliness of a high standard, pleasant staff especially the guys working on the main gate. Free coffee in the morning and some basic savoury/sweet snacks.

There are a few reasons that I would not recommend a stay here for a San Jose experience. Firstly the location....not very close to the City which means Taxi, Uber or driving. Secondly despite the fact the accommodation has a kitchen there is very little provided that would enable you to cook a meal and no supermarkets in the immediate area without using some form of transport. The pool is OK but be prepared for big groups of locals who come for the day and totally take over the place with little respect for anyone else. Reception staff showed a general lack of interest and once again no local information given which seems to be the norm these days.

There was a small choice of pastries available, the coffee machine in the coffee area didn’t work on my second day.
