Wasn’t cleaned properly, we found food and old masks in the couches and cigarette filters under a bed so Room obviously wasn’t checked or cleaned properly from previous people , had several non working light bulbs no tea towels / cloths in kitchen and no rubbish bin . Had to go ask for all these things . We were there for 3 days and had nobody come to bring us any clean towels either

The bathroom in our unit had recently been renovated, the water pressure was brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our unit at the back of the motel had no noise from traffic, it was lovely

The staff were friendly. We arrived after a 5 hour drive to checkin but the staff couldn’t find us in their system even though I had the confirmation email and confirmation number. The staff took my word and gave us a room. The staff replaced the broken light bulb right away- but soon after the light bulb in the main room was out too and they replaced it following morning.

The online photos of this place can be deceiving. The bathroom and shower photos online is not even close to what we got. Not sure how the rating of this place is 3 1/2 stars. Our room was very old, cold…not prepared really. You have to hit the heater button every hour to stay warm. Lightbulbs were out. Holes in the walls, ceiling and covered with envelopes taped over them? Shower was creepy and had a huge hole covered with a brick. Beds were so uncomfortable. My kids and I were a bit creeped out by the place.

The lady who greeted us was a very bubbly helpful person and made us feel very welcome.

Amazing staff - Sheree (I think I have the correct lady) the lady who greeted us was exceptional and so friendly. Sheree went over and above our expectations, she was just wonderful and so accommodating. Sheree offered to do our washing which was so generous and kind of her. Very much appreciated. When we returned 5 days later Sheree also very kindly turned on their freezer to help us out. As we had fresh fish to freeze from Stewart Island. Sheree was just exceptional and very friendly and kind. Could not wish for a nicer person. Fantastic, clean accommodation. Highly recommend The Coachman Inn ... was just perfect. Thank you Sheree. The courtyard area out the back is lovely. I also like that visitors can come into the carpark out the back and up the stairs and it is very discrete.

I love it when there is a full electric range to cook on, but they don't have that here. I knew what there would be and cooked food at home to heat up at meal times.
