The location was excellent and the size of the room and facilities were great. Very good instructions for parking and access to the room.

The separate bathroom was a bit of a pain but we knew about it when we booked so not really a big deal! The room was really hot when we arrived, we managed to turn it off though so all fine.

everything was fantastic and we would recommend.

Only slight thing I would comment on was The bed had seen better days, it was terribly squeaky and unsturdy but everything else was fantastic and we would recommend.

Clean and warm, many little snacks and choice of teas. If we wanted, there was a living room we could use downstairs, with books to borrow or DVDs to watch. Ensuite bathroom, tap easy to use, hot water straight away, plenty of towels.

Bit overwarm, we turned the heating down and opened the window, but weather has been changeable and it was down to peoples' taste. Only thing that bothered my husband is not being able to stick his feet over the bottom of the bed, as it had wooden bed end, made him more uncomfortable than me.

External shower-room. Extra "snug" room which was up and down more steps, a bit fiddly to negotiate.

The tate house was lovely and very clean. Plenty of coffee and biscuits nice toiletries lovely added extras

Great location and a beautiful room. It is very clean and comfortable.

I always prefer places where there is an owner to greet you when you arrive and see you off when you leave. The email entrance code and no staff present feels a bit impersonal. The last time we stayed here, we had breakfast but that option no longer exists.

Pleasant, tastefully furnished rooms, very clean and good location.

Stair access at entry to external (to bedroom) bathroom was potentially unsafe. No landing, just a stepped entry perpendicular to the door. More directions to parking location would be helpful.

Immaculately clean and high standard of furnishings. Very convenient for Alnwick gardens and castle- restaurants and shops all within walking distance

With the windows open there was some road noise - although it quietened during nighttime - double glazing did a lot to prevent it and it was indicated in the description - otherwise the accommodation was perfect.

This place is a little gem. Superbly presented and furnished, owners atttention to details in little touches very evident. Spotlessly clean and a total delight. Can't praise it enough.

Very clean, very modern and the room was very well presented. Good location right in the centre. Free parking opposite was a bonus.

Overlooked the main road which was noisy all through the night- everything rattled when large trucks went past! The room was really an attic room, large but the major downside was the bathroom (although lovely) was back down a few stairs on the bend that led up to the room and could be seen by other guests. To go to the toilet during the night you had to unlock your guest door, close it quietly behind you so it didn’t wake your partner. Negotiate the stairs when sleepy. Close and lock the bathroom then do everything in reverse to get back into bed, by which time you are wide awake and so is your partner because of the closing and locking the door- what a farce! There really needs to be a door at the bottom of the stairs (not easy) to make it more self contained. It was also very weird not to see anyone from that property at all during the stay and didn’t feel very welcoming.

A lovely clean room, close to the centre of town.

Duvets were too hot for summer. The well equipped bathroom, although only for our use, was across the top of the stairs

- The toilet sink was a bit shallow, couldn’t really fit the kettle to fill water

Central location with nearby parking at The Plough. Very comfortable and very clean. Room had kettle with tea and coffee as well as biscuits and chocolates. These were replenished on 2nd day. Couldn't complain about anything. Would recommend breakfast at Barter Books. Would happy to stay here again if back in Alnwick.

We booked the room with snug and balcony. We didnt use the snug or balcony so if booking in future would book one of the other smaller rooms as would be less expensive and adequate. Balcony was a bit grubby and rickety to walk on.

well looked after. good room with comfy bed. tea/coffee with biscuits etc. also access to a main room downstairs. i didnt use the wifi as didnt see any access code but i have no doubt there was one available.

could have made wifi password more visible, but this is being very picky🤣
