A great place to stay in Alnwick if you're there to visit the town and Castle. Parking was great as its only a 10/15 minute walk to above and you can leave the car at Hotel. Alnwick town centre parking is limited
The breakfast was great and the evening meals we had were well cooked and value for money
General feel to hotel was stepping back in time a little but that was quite nice
From an environmental point of view the towels were changed every day even tho' we didn't put them in the bath ( no sign to offer that) Might be better to give visitors the choice.
Again, from an environmental point of view, the individual complimentary toiletries could perhaps be changed for nice dispensers
The food smells from the kitchen downstairs creep in if you have the bathroom window open. We just kept the bathroom door closed at all times

The location was just what we needed.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was perfect too.
There was not anything to dislike, really nice place to stay.

The rooms were lovely, clean and decorated well. I liked the wallpaper! Bathrooms were clean too, big shower and it was very powerful and hot! We had breakfast every morning which was really tasty and dinner a couple of nights which was also really good. We sat in the bay window several times and my son really enjoyed watching the cars go past! Even saw police cars and ambulances a few times!
That we couldn’t stay for longer!

The location is great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good value for money. Food in the restaurant very good quality and price.
Pub quiz was a bit noisy but didn't run very late so all was fine.

The breakfasts were very good with a lot of choice
Our shower didn’t work properly. The only way you could switch it on or off was by the pull cord outside the shower cubicle.

The location of the hotel was perfect. So easy to find and very close to the castle and gardens. Staff were friendly and hospitable and went out of their way to make sure everything was ok. The room was modern and well-kept, with everything you would expect included. The bathroom was lovely and clean
and also surprisingly roomy. I particularly liked the complementary shower gel, which smelt wonderful!
The bedroom needed dusting. There was fluff at the bottom of the radiator and cobwebs drifting on the wall behind the bed.

We were staying at the Oaks as we were taking part in a charity marathon walk. At weekend breakfast is normally 8am but staff very kindly came in early so we could have it at 7.30 so we could get to the start of the walk on time. Really appreciated this.

Restaurant part was a bit draughty on an evening, I appreciate it’s an old building and the time of year we stayed.

Very friendly staff. lovely big bedroom and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Excellent breakfast choice. Brilliantly located for visiting Alnwick whilst very peaceful

The staff are so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome.
The food was incredible too. It's a proper wee gem of a place in a great location.

We were surprised at the size of our room. It was very clean. All of the staff were friendly and so helpful, they could not do enough for us. The food was delicious. We will definitely be staying there again.
There was nothing we did not like. Everything was great.

Close to the town centre, room clean, staff really friendly and the facilities were great. Breakfast was lovely and had a good selection to choose from.
