Excellent breakfast and dinner either in quantity and quality. The family appreciated a lot the rice of the dinner. Very well welcome of the staff

One advise: take your flashlights and power banks to deal with power cuts (two per day)

Clean and spacious rooms , a good breakfast , good location with a nice view of the rice fields , bycicles were available. The staff ( breakfast) was really nice and friendly .

Unfortunately we didn’t feel welcome . There was not even a bottle of water or a kettle in the room. The lady asked us to check- out after breakfast , and we were the only guests. In the end , however , it was ok to check out later . I would unfortunately not recommend this guesthouse .

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable - everything worked (hot and powerful shower & good air conditioning) and nice balcony. Excellent location too. Good breakfast and delicious dinner available too.

WiFi was quite slow but seems to be a recurring issue throughout Sri Lanka.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Thisara Guest House, which proved to be an excellent choice. The guest house was conveniently located near the ruins and Kaduruwela town, making it easy for us to explore the area. The breakfast provided was delicious, offering a satisfying start to our day. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the attentive and courteous care we received from the owners of the guest house. Their personalised approach made us feel like we were not staying at a hotel but rather in the comfort of our own homes. This warm and welcoming atmosphere greatly enhanced our overall experience. I highly recommend Thisara Guest House to anyone seeking a memorable and homely stay in the area and staff who went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Room cleaning needs to be further improved and having Wifi would be ideal.

Good location walking distance to town.

There was damp and mold on the walls next to the bathroom and it smelt moldy. The bathroom wasn't clean. The chairs in the garden were all dirty and falling to bits so not usable. The whole place needs painting and cleaning. The owner seemed like everything was too much trouble for him.

The breakfast is good with a great variety including fresh fruit juice. Nice owner. Location is okay to reach the ancient site and the view from the breakfast area towards the rice field is very nice.

We expected more from seeing the pictures on the internet. The bathroom was very damp and the room not in a good condition. We expected there would be some options to eat dinner at the accommodation since there is not a good selection of restaurants in Polonnaruwa.
