Very well located, next to the forest with monkeys and all sorts of animals 15 meters away, its the big plus. Good value for money, well equipped with kitchen appliances if needed A simple and straightforward place

Excellent location immediately adjacent to the National Park. Highlight was a sloth + baby in the canopy 15 ft up & over the hammock! Very quiet location (howler monkeys excepted).

Limited interior storage options (but we knew this was a small cottage & we travel fairly light).

Cahuita is one of my favorite towns in the country and I have been here many times. But I hadn't found lodging that I liked until this place. Last year I stayed in the small house which was really nice. This year I stayed for 2 weeks in the studio which was even better! Large doors opened in 3 different areas so great airflow and views of scenic grounds. Outdoor sitting area and hammock. Small but adequate kitchen with much nicer cookware than usual. Howler and/or white-faced monkeys were in trees next to cabana daily and I took some great pics without any other tourists around! An agouti was closeby several times. Wifi worked great, best I've had in town. Spacious property so feels very private, but host lives nearby as well as neighbors and they have dogs so area felt very safe. Host was available thru messaging and checked in with me frequently to see if I needed anything. Fantastic place at a very good price.

Lovely, peaceful little holiday home. It was so clean and comfortable, a perfect little stay for me (solo travelling) to rest and enjoy the nature. Howler monkeys were so loud nearby which I really enjoyed and Monica, the host, was in the house next door if I needed her. Absolute bliss listening to the night time sounds here. A little private garden and hammock available to use.

Magnificent bungalow in the middle of the jungle. Life is practically in the middle of the Cahuita National Park. Around the jungle, monkeys and hummingbirds. The hosts were as hospitable and helpful as possible. At our request we were given grill and coals and we were able to make a great barbecue. They also suggested where to find everything you need in the city: laundry, restaurants and tours. Car parking at the property.

Location at end of road at edge of park, was nice for wildlife encounters, especially monkeys and birds. Place was clean and nice enough, just needs some comfort upgrades to make it worth the price.

Small ceiling fan did not adequately provide enough air flow, making for hot, sweaty stay. Two flat pillows and small towels which should have been changed every day, considering it was so humid and not enough air flow for them to dry between showers. Wood chairs are hard, need soft cushions. Main residence too close to cabin, too many dogs around cabin, little privacy. Also, she required payment via her swiss account, which charged me a $5 fee, instead of the seller paying the fee as with PayPal or a credit card.

Small cabana with outdoor kitchen, surrounded by nature, very quiet at night with only the sounds of wildlife. I saw howler and white-faced monkeys in the trees next to my cabana. Wifi worked well unlike most of the other places I've stayed in town. Host lives on property with large dogs, so the place felt very secure. She was available but unobtrusive. The place is a bit of a walk to restaurants and the park, but worth it for the experience of being surrounded by nature. I have stayed at 5 other places in this town and this one is my favorite and hopefully will be available for my future trips to the area.

The hammock was outside the cabana so could not be used in the rain.

The location was perfect - on the verge of National Park Cahuita. We were able to spot many animals, the sounds of nature were amazing. You can sit in the garden or on the terrace for hours, just observing everything around. Our host Monica was very helpful. Highly recommended!

The loft was close to the jungle with a nice garden where you could see monkeys birds and other animals. Loft was close to the restaurants and facilities. We could appreciate the peacefulness and the nature. Great place to recharge your energy. Monica our host gives you all information on Cahuita tours. Excellent place.

A light screen to block the mosquitoes entering in the loft could be a nice improvement. Also a small bench on which you can drop your suitcase

We enjoyed a 5-night stay in the two-bedroom cottage. A large covered patio with a table, chairs and hammock was a private viewing area for monkeys, birds and other critters that passed through. The trees and flowers around the cottage make it a beautiful resting place. The national park entrance, bus station and nearest stores and restaurants are just a five to 10 minutes walk away.

There are mosquito nets over the beds and wooden shutters for the windows. Would have also liked window screens and decorative metal bars on at least some of the windows, so we had fewer bugs inside and could leave a few windows open at night and feel safe.
