Self catering. Location very good.

Second floor, meaning several steps for less mobile people.

The flat is a really lovely place to stay. We enjoyed the very central location of the flat very close to the Orthigia market and many restaurants around. We visited the market nearly daily to get some really fresh ingredients for our cooking in the kitchen. We loved also view from the small balcony to the road with all its typical sounds for such am old Italian town. The nice view from the roof top terrace is great to enjoy some cold wine or some breakfast. Acutally the steps to the terrace are steep but absolutely ok in such an historic building. We have in mind to come back as there are so many things to see in and around Syracuse.

Location was great but like a lot of properties it us up a lot of stairs. There was the added benefit of a roof terrace we could use

Things didn't work like the washing machine and the air conditioners. All poorly maintained rattled and rolled. Set of stairs up three levels so not good if you forget something. There was no attempt to leave any manuals for the equipment or a house manual explaining local features restaurants etc.

Rooftop terrace was difficult to climb onto.

Great location and host. Massimiliano and Miriam were great and very responsive. Nice kitchen. We had a great stay here for three days in Ortigia. The main bedroom is really nice as is the living area. We found the apartment to be both well equipped and spotless upon arrival. A few caveats below but don’t let them detract from the value and quality overall of the stay. We were four people in the apartment, it would be ideal for a couple or a family with a kid.

Second bedroom has a not so comfy bed. Funky smell in the apartment but whatever, it’s a historical Ortigia residence with really old plumbing, not much to be done about that. Trash system is odd. Old man in the building lit us up for using the restaurant trash cans across the street. He is super aggro, beware, he got really aggressive with my wife and I almost had to sock him out this morning. He is a jerk so better steer clear. Parking can be challenging, just plan for it, we lucked out and found a free spot for three days in front of La Bar/Restaurant Fratelli around the corner. The rooftop terrace is not nice.

The apartment was huge. The main bedroom was large as well, with lots of space for luggage. The bed was very comfortable. The location was better than expected since it was in right the area of the only real parking on the island. Being on the top floor, it's pretty quiet at night.

There was a little bit of odor coming from the plumbing in the bathroom that needed to be aired out upon arrival. Considering how large the apartment is, the shower was very small. The apartment is on the top floor so you definitely get your exercise. We ran into some wifi issues that got resolved after a day.
