very near Piazza Minerva and Via Roma, one of the two main streets. Owner/manager very pleasant and helpful. Had a living room, bedroom with bath, and kitchen, all three off a courtyard. It’s an impressive, large old house, ancient in fact but rebuilt after being partially bombed out in WWII. The same limestone was reused and the stonework that was damaged restored to its 17th century opulence.

Perfectly located, beautiful views from the balconies, spacious, clean and stunning from every angle. We loved our time at this amazing palazzo and felt like kings and queens during our stay. Great wifi and kitchen amenities. We loved enjoying our espresso each morning on the balcony taking in the views of the interior courtyard. Antonella was a delight to communicate with and offered great advice to enrich our stay. Grazie mille!

We had a great stay in this very special apartment. Placed in a centrally located palace, it is quiet, cool, and spacious. We loved the beautiful and comfortable living-room and the lovely patio. The host, Antonella, was helpful and very pleasant. We highly recommend Ortigia luxury apartments!

Very cozy and large apartment in the best part of the city of Ortigia a near the sea with the opportunity to bath and close to restaurants and place of interest. The host Antonella has been very kind and helpful. She help us quickly with everything we asked for, like booking a taxi , finding good restaurants and various advice we asked for. The apartment itself is very large and located in a beautiful old house with a beautiful courtyard. Very charming. There are three double beds and a nice kitchen with sofa and the view of the beautiful courtyard. Here you can really relax. We had a very nice stay. If you want to experience something truly Italian you should defiantly rent this apartment. Highly recommend!

Antonella was very kind and helpful. she had provided fruit and water and some provisions for breakfast. we loved the style of the apartment. tasteful and quirky. plenty of clean towels and a very comfortable bed. location was great and Antonella gave some great recommendations for eating.

Location was great. Apartment was unique.

The WiFi was absolutely terrible and the fact you cannot drive your rental car on the island added a layer of stress to the stay.

Rental comprises bedroom, kitchen and lounge all off a ground floor open courtyard. If it rains, the floor stays wet for a while!

My wife being an Architect and loving baroque palaces, was thrilled to spend this time in Syracuse reminding her of the palace she grow up in. Being a collector of antiques, the house was filled with little treasures everywhere. Even got advice as to where to go antiquing in Syracuse.

I wish we could have stayed longer but the apartment was booked for the time period after our visit. Next time we will book it for a longer period of time and hit more of those antique locations the owner laid out for us.

This place is a gem, located in an old building set around an exquisite courtyard, with the main split-level apartment connected to a palatial master bedroom via an interior balcony, which catches the sun in the middle of the day. We loved this place!

First, the good part; this apartment is huge and beautiful. The apartment is lovely, with exposed stone walls, high ceilings, etc.

The apartment is on the second floor, no lift. and for us, that was a problem, with heavy suitcases. Then; it says that it is heated, but heated means space heaters. There was one in the kitchen area, which is where we spent all of our time while in the apartment, huddled around this rather weak space heater. The heater in the bedroom went on and off all night, creating a difficult situation for sleeping, and was inadequate to heat the large room. Without the mattress pad heater, we couldn't have slept at all. The bedroom opens onto a terrace, and you have to go outside to get to the rest of the apartment, including the bathroom, which wasn't fun at night. The electrical service is not robust. We had to plug and unplug appliances such as the toaster and the microwave and the coffee maker as you couldn't run them at the same time. If you had the space heater on in the bathroom, it would trip the breaker if you had another heater on. And then there is the water; it is not potable, so we had to go out and get water to drink and to cook with. None of these things were apparent in the listing, and so after 4 days we simply changed our plans and moved on, without a refund. Our losses included not just the 6 days we didn't use, but also flight reservations that had to be changed, and a lot of time spent re-booking the rest of our travels. If we had known more about this apartment, we would not have booked it. We spend a lot of time researching our travel options and count on accurate information.

We stayed here over Christmas in another apartment and liked it so much, we came back. We were given a lovely welcome back. Our host the Baronessa, goes out of her way to help with directions, restaurant suggestions and even helped us when we had car trouble. We went back to the suggested Dave restaurant again and because I have allergies, they even went to the market and bought things especially for me. That's service! The Palace itself is very special and it's a privilege to be immersed in its history. The apartment is tastefully decorated, with a warm ambience. When you consider the price and the quality of the apartments, the value here compared to many other places in Ortigia is far superior. We will stay here whenever we're back in Ortigia.

We stayed over Christmas. The space for a family is excellent. We enjoyed the different zones within the apartment. The main zone was very warm in winter and this would be even better in summer with the terrace and large downstairs bedroom. The location couldn't be better between the duomo and sea. The architecture of the Palace is superb. Recommended restaurant Dave was beautiful and food excellent. Communication with our host was always timely and helpful. We also managed to park outside.

The owner of the house, Antonella, and her son Max were both very kind and hospitable. They helped us with finding a private parking upon arrival. The apartment exceeded our expectations by far, it was spacey, super clean, and extremely beautiful! The location couldn't have been better. Although central, it was a very quiet road. We will definitely come back, it was a real pleasure to stay in this apartment. Thank you!
