The staff at this location make you feel so welcomed and are happy to help you with anything! They go out of their way to give you lifts to places and help you book restaurants or plan your day. They know the area really well, speak perfect english and Japanese, and are lovely to talk to. Their location is fantastic, so close to the bus stop for getting around Hakuba ski resorts, right next to rhythm sports for ski hire, and sooo close to a beautiful onsen that I used every day! The rooms are large, the kitchen space is perfect, the beds are comfortable and the shower and bath is exceptional. I couldn't fault the room, it had everything we needed and they give you so much to help you get started like butter, tea, eggs and milk. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would definitely return.

There isn't a bar in the complex but that is fine as there is a pub two minutes away - everything is within reach, nothing is inconvenient to get to.

Dave and Takami made our stay at Hakuba Grand amazing! From booking to arrival we were completely taken care of and settled right in. A complimentary lift from the train station and occasionally to the supermarket was a huge help. The apartments themselves are roomy, exceptionally clean and have everything you need, breakfast items were provided and it also contains everything for home cooking. A drying room and washing machine on the ground floor are super handy. Only a few minutes walk to the closest lifts and rental facilities, as well as close to a variety of restaurants and shops for dinner really helped. The kids got a kick out of the snowball makers and toboggans for communal use out front. We will definitely be back! :)

Dave (the manager) and Takami were simply fabulous. They went out of their way to drop us off and pick us up from our ski school. They were available anytime we needed help and given this was our first time in Hakuba, they made it so easy for us. They helped us with booking of ski classes before we arrived and with ski equipment and restaurants while we were in Hakuba. They made a reservation for a restaurant every night when we requested. There was also laundry and a dryer to dry all our wet ski equipment. We could return the skis to the rental by leaving it in the hotel. The apartment was absolutely fabulous- clean, warm and they provided a basket full of breakfast items upon arrival. When we needed more groceries, they would drop us off at the supermarket to pick up the items. Kids made full use of the sleds and enjoyed snow right in front of the apartment. Overall, it was a super stay and highly recommended.

Our primary interaction with the staff was with David. From the moment we reserved the property he was very responsive to answer questions or requests and proactive to offer services. Upon arrival he continued to make sure we had everything we needed for each day or the following day. He was very detail oriented in making suggestions and offering assistance. David helped to make the environment family friendly by making sledding routes for the kids and making sure sleds and shovels and snowball makers were handy. the drying room and gear locker were also handy and very spacious. Having food pre-stocked in the fridge was very helpful. all of the dishware was very clean. The location was walking distance from the Happo Bus Terminal (about 20 min walk) and from one of the Happo lifts (about 12 min walk). The rooms were clean and comfortable with clear views of mountains and trees. The parking lot was easy to maneuver and David kept the snow clear for people with cars. also on-site laundry facilities were beneficial - very easy to use washers and dryers.
