An unusual hotel in a fabulous, quiet location, on the waterfront. Bedroom was on the 2nd floor (no lifts). Reasonable size room with great view over the water. Restaurant had limited choices, but was excellent quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Bathroom ceiling is quite low, so it feels a little cramped. But that is al!

The breakfast was good and the location was splendid. I enjoyed walking around in the narrow streets looking at all the flowerdecorations and bookcases. I realy calmed down sitting at the top of the cliff looking at the ocean.

We really enjoyed the authentic feeling you get from staying at this hotel. You stay in a room in one of the old, original houses on the street. The street is charming and calm, with (barely) no cars. It is the perfect place to go if you want to stay somewhere quiet and relaxing, while having the option of seeking some of the many tourist attractions in the area. We loved being able to see the salmon jumping up the river from our hotel window.

We were mostly pleased with our stay, but we felt that the staff were a bit unclear and not sure as to how to greet and welcome their guests. When we arrived we figured we had to enter the restaurant to get our room key. Maybe some of the staff were new to the game, but we missed being a bit more informed regarding check-in/check out, as well as breakfast.

Lovely small village on the sea. Perfect for relax and for going around in the area. Don't expect much happening there anyway ;)

The setting of the rooms are fantastic. The hotel consist of 11 old wooden buildings. And there's about 30-32 rooms spread between the buildings. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff even more excellent. It's really a wonderful place.

Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. I heard my neighbours downstairs really well.
