no gas for bbq and no gas for stove which was a shame for our first night but caretaker did come next day and replace stove gas

Good location with great views of the Hazards from upstairs room. Comfy bed :). Outside deck was lovely on days where the sun was out. The kitchen had all we needed and plenty of storage space for food etc. The fire heats the house easily once alight.

The only firewood supplied was a couple of large wet unsplittable blocks, and no newspaper, kindling or firelighters. This was a real disappointment. There is no upstairs bathroom, so need to navigate the spiral staircase down if you need to use the toilet at night. The upstairs floor is very squeaky, which may be a problem if you have guests in the lower room. The shower is over the bath, which is quite deep - may be an issue if you are not very mobile (fine for us)

Very comfortable. Excellent view from the balcony and top bedroom. We asked for two beds to be made up which was done for no extra cost. Recommended.

If I was to quibble the quality of the supplied firewood wasn't great but the was an a/c space heaters under floor heating and electric blankets so getting cold wasn't likely.

Location was perfect and the view from the upstairs balcony of the Freycinet mountains was lovely.

It was cold in the bathroom. The weather was wet and cold when we arrived and there was no wood for the fire (It was provided on request the next day). There was an air conditioner that kept it somewhat comfortable, however that had to be turned off overnight. Perhaps offer some flexibility on the 3pm check in, since it is already an hour later than most places. We had to dodge a lot of animal droppings on arrival, which suggests that it wasn’t cleaned up that morning.

we loved everything about it but mostly the spiral staircase. it was warm and cosy. nice to arrive with the fire already going.

the only thing we didn’t really like was the bathtub that needs to go and put in a proper shower that is big enough for a bigger person. most of the places we stayed at had very small showers. not enough room to turn around.
