Quiet, but with all that was required. It is a compact, but not restricted by space. A lovely environment.

It was nice and peaceful no crowds nice and quiet

Great views in quiet rural setting. Had everything we could want and more!! Clean and spacious.

Entry signage could be easier to see at night

Everything from the warm welcome from Fleur, to the privacy, being totally surrounded by nature in a gorgeous house which had been supplied with everything you would need for comfort and convenience. Sitting on the veranda under the grape vine, listening to the birds was heaven. All within about a 5 minute drive to Beechworth.

Nothing, except not staying longer.

Sooo quiet. Surrounded by nature and wildlife galore. Salty, the one-eyed dog, was a great companion. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed.

Water pressure in the shower was poor. Limited internet connection.

The retreat was very peaceful & cozy! Great for R’n’R. I loved the charm of the cottage & its setting in nature. Including Salty, the lovely, relaxed and super friendly dog who would come & greet us on occasion.

Very relaxing and well equiped, could spend weeks going through the library. Facilities very functional for a small-ish space :)

Bed could have been a bit more comfortable but not a major gripe :)

the serenity and the view

We had a wonderful stay. The place was quiet, surrounded by stunning scenery, and only a short drive away from the town centre. We were warmly welcomed by the host and their delightful dogs. The place is well-equipped, cozy and very clean.

Loved the fire pit and having Salty the dog keeping us company.

Needed to buy a lighter & wood for the fire.

I loved the location and the surrounds and the landscaping. The cottage was very cosy and lovely

We arrived to this quiet oasis and were met by Salty (Fleur's beautiful dog). The cabin was unlocked and everything we needed was there, including a note from Fleur. This place was magic for us. Enter via your own driveway. It feels as though you are on your own property. Air, trees, paddocks, horses, a lovely verandah at the front and the rear.

I am sure one day when we return, Fleur would have installed a fireplace and a small oven.

Nothing not to like.

Candlebark is a very quiet, peaceful property. The cabin sits amidst paddocks and the vineyard. It is comfortably set up. The location is in easy access to a variety of sites worth visiting. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Smallish shower for taller people

Delightful cottage studio on picturesque farm location surrounded by garden, wineyard & cozy firepit overlooking the view. Cottage was clean, warm and well furnished with everything we could need. Communication was reliable and prompt and we had no issues at all.

Immaculate, appealing, private and wanting for nothing cottage. Beautiful and practical location. Lovely hosts. Immensely enjoyed the outdoor fire and star spangled sky on a the sprawling property.

All more than perfect.
