in front of beach, so could hear the waves washing on the shore otherwise very quiet and slept very well practical, comfortable, clean, nicely decorated room water and cookies as welcome very easy communication with Hotel and very uncomplicated check in and out check out until 12 is very convenient

We arrived by plane and went from the Airport to the property by foot (2,8km). Good exercise for 30-40 min using downhill stairs. Arriving was late and we got door code and code for room keys by whatsapp - very comfortable if you are reacheble. Beach is 50m from the property and swimmable.

Simple spartan place but very efficient at a top location and excellent price. Highly recommended for independent travelers for a day or two.

one time i went out and when trying to come back in my door didn’t open. i tried to contact the owner and had no response. i had to ask for help from someone passing by on the street. then when i finally made it back in, and i was trying ti fall asleep, there was super loud noise from a restaurant just under my window and people where chatting and partying until almost midnight and i couldn’t sleep.

everything. very poorly managed. needs maintenance. there’s no one to help with issues. asked to upgrade room and got no answer until i called back and heard an impolite No. the add doesn’t match the reality.

Lovely to be right next to the beach and hear the Atlantic breakers. Handy for shops, restaurants and walking. Very cute little place.

Really need to phone to arrange check in and check out as no-one there. I was lucky when I arrived and a guy spotted me who could let me into the property.

Great location in the centre of village. Well worth the money. Missed a small fridge on the room but not really needed since you have great cafeteria and breakfast places just outside doorstep. Highly recomend if you want to experience this small and cosy village for real.

You can see and hear sea waves from your room. No better way to fall asleep :) The village of Santiago feels as charming as Verano Azul TV series and it was both cute and romantic place to stay!

A vary nice place - literally 10 meters from the beach, 5 meters from the towns main square, with several bars and restaurants around, parking at the back of the house. The room and bed was comfortable, there is a small balcony with a sea view. Very easy and flawless check-in and check-out procedure, all online.

No major things to complain about. Just perhaps few to be mentioned for future guests - the room and the facilities, although clean and conmfortable, are quite basic, For an example, there were no any tools or facilities for cooking (or fridge for storing the food), glasses, so please take them with you before the trip. For the breakfast - just go across the street and the bar has a lot of options to offer. For whom is planned to do a remote working - there is no table to put the laptop on.

The hotel is located right on Playa de Santiago's seafront and overlooks a lively square. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds that guarantee a good night's sleep to the sound of the waves. Although the rooms are somewhat on the small side, this is not much of a problem due to the all year-round good weather. The beachfront is lined with restaurants and cafes, and the harbour with its colourful fishing boats provides authenticity to Playa de Santiago. I would return any time and stay at Pensión La Gaviota
