Nos gustó mucho la zona comun, donde pudimos jugar a juegos de mesa, esperando la hora de salir a buscar auroras boreales. La posibilidad de prepararte en la cocina el desayuno y los bocadillos también fue un puntazo. Buena calefaccion y camas comodas. Compartimos baños, pero estaban bastante limpios. Mantienen la limpieza haciendote quitar los zapatos a la entrada, pero te proporcionan fundas y hay un cesto con zapatillas y chanclas.

Loved the place! I don't know whether it was newly refurbished or cared (a lot) about - it was nice, clean, spacious, the bathrooms as well as the toilets clean, the location great and stuff absolutely perfect. Thank you very much. Common area with the possibility to watch TV or just sit down and relax and have a cup of whatsoever... loveable. Let me call it "glass house" which served as the breakfast room is another highlight I'd have to mention. Overlooking - more or less - the whole of Vík...

Cozy home, easy check-in (they will have a note showing what room number if receptionist is not there). nice breakfast, plenty of parking. Please bring house-shoes, they do want you to take off the shoes when you get in the house (from the black beach sand)

only downside would be they need black-out curtains. If you're a light sleeper it might be hard to fall asleep during the summer time (or bring a sleeping mask)

Great breakfast (paid for it) and cozy room. Breakfast room had a wonderful view.

Shower was downstairs but it's not a big deal.

Location was fantastic! Spacious and clean rooms. Really loved the place and breakfast options. Only negatives were temperamental hot water in shower and staff member working who did not seem to be I the right industry. No smiles for check in, breakfast, conversation or check out. Great place though!

Beautiful, large house in town. Rooms partially have beautiful views. Shared bathrooms were clean although the house was full. No cooking facilities except a microwave, but we didn't need it anyway. Large choice of food at the breakfast buffet in the attached lounge. Parking lot is just in front of the house.

A bit loud and crowded, but no problem finding a free and clean bathroom in the morning. During the night it was very quiet.

Great location in Vik, very nice room, very helpful staff

I would have preferred not to have to share a bathroom but that seems to be the affordable way in Iceland. I was given an option to have breakfast but 17 euros seemed excessive.

The guesthouse is easy to locate and very near to Vik. Check-in was totally fuss-free. I've booked 2 rooms for our group of 5 pax and both rooms were clean and comfy. Bathroom is shared though but no issue for us as there is only 2 rooms at the ground level and both were occupied by us.

We were very impressed with the size of the room, complete with a little breakfast table, and the beds were warm and cosy--it felt very luxurious for the price. There were multiple small common areas and the breakfast looked so good that we regretted not booking it (we had food we needed to use up). The staff member who checked us in and out was very engaging and friendly and when we broke a glass, she helped us sweep it up.

The kitchen was small with limited appliances. Guests going from the front to the back of the building had to walk through it, making it even more awkward to cook and eat there. Perhaps this is their way of encouraging guests to use their restaurant!
