The manager was very helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed.
It was expensive but the remote location allows accommodation to name its price.

Toller Zwischenstopp. Wir blieben 2 Nächte. Das Zimmer war modern und nett gestaltet, was man erst nicht erwartet. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Es gibt Brötchen, Brot und Waffeln, Obst, Gemüse... Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden. Wasserkocher ist auf dem Zimmer vorhanden, Tee und Instantkaffee kann man kochen. Außerordentlich freundlich waren alle Angestellten! Und beim Frühstück wurde sofort nachgelegt und alles saubergehalten.
Der Teil des Fensters welches man öffnen kann ist winzig. Ein Durchlüften ist quasi nicht möglich. Das Bad, ohne Fenster, ist klein und eng, aber reicht aus.
Der Wasserkocher muss auf den Boden gestellt werden, da die Steckdose sonst nicht erreicht wird :-)

We were greeted by a very welcoming young man who could not have been more helpful. We had two nights in Vik and it was a good choice. Reasonably priced (by comparison to other hotels), Puffin Hotel Vik is simple but very clean, great location and has all that you need for a relax after a day driving. Our host recommended a restaurant that was overflowing when we arrived and rather than wait we went to the cafe next door to the hotel. We made the right choice. We had fish and chips and the rosemary lamb. Both were absolutely delicious.
Nothing we did not like.

Hotel is in the town of Vik, the black beach, shops and some restaurants are in walking distance, it is an advantage when yuo are heading east from Reikjavik. Very friendly and helpful staff, giving the advices about Iceland.
Brekafast could be wider in variety, also the shower could use some renovation.

Perfect location in Vik really close from the black sand beach and some restaurants.. Good breakfast and comfortable beds.
The air extraction could be better, in the morning there was a heavy smell of fried food in the bedroom.

The location of the hotel is perfect. You have the famous Black Diamond Beach just a walk away, a petrol station, restaurants and the most beautiful view to wake up to. We got snowed in for two days and the hotel were very accommodating and understanding. We were able to organise to stay in the hotel for another night at the same cost as initially booking. Breakfast was lovely and the room was very nice and clean. The bathroom is wonderful and I had one of the best showers during my stay in Iceland. Overall highly recommended.

Helpful staff at checkin and had good knowledge of the surrounding attractions and how to get there etc. Provided us with a map to take away. Room was warm and good value and formed a good base for seeing the south coast over a couple of days. Nice breakfast

Absolutely great service. We got stucked in Vík because of broken car. The owner gave us lift to our car which was few km away from Vik to get our stuff. The staff was really nice and helpful. Thank you so much! Rooms were nice! Perfect place where to stay in Vik.

Reasonable price, room was bright and clean. Very friendly staff, breakfast was not bad
Room was quite small, the 500ml electric kettle was too small. The shower drainage was pretty bad we needed extra towels to prevent water from flowing out of the toilet
