I want you "travelers from all around the world" to know that Lorna, the owner of the place, is absolutely exceptional for the way she handled my special requests and particularly my pick-up/drop-off, my food & drinks requests. she is professional, courteous, friendly, attentive, and engaging. she is such an exemplary & gracious host. She makes you feel so welcome, we almost already feel at home and soon in paradise at the same time. Her knowledge of Kingston and her remarkable solving request efficiency are rare indeed nowadays. She is a rich source of balanced information that we usually rarely glean while staying in a classic hotel. I just thought you should all know that this is a real asset to her business. Anyone who treats customers with so much kindness and attention is a rare jewel, and truly gives you an edge over her competition. Lorna Nelson (and Bill Samuels !) are definitely part of the reason we will (without a shadow of doubt) looking forward to stay with them again in the future. The view is impressive, right from your balcony, over to the mountains, and down to Kingston. The furniture in the rooms is "antique" and stylish. The whole place is charming and very tranquil indeed!

One is pretty much confined to the room, as there's little else to do in the immediate surroundings. Make sure you bring a good book (however there are also books in the rooms and common areas!). The lack of a bar, or the possibility to have a bite to eat on the premises, is a bit painful.

Breathtaking view from the balcony, the entire house is beautiful. We met Lorna the owner, she was super kind and helpful. We decided to check out early, and she even packed our breakfast for the road. Great spot to spend the night if you are heading up to the Blue Mountains.

Lorna is an impeccable host, kind and enjoyable to communicate with. Her guest house is beautifully appointed, with spectacular views and thoughtfully curated. Breakfast was amazing and served on the veranda with a breathtaking view of the hills overlooking Kingston. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and we look forward to staying again!

The road leading from B1 to the house requires good driving skills, especially when dark and/ or rainy.

The owner !! Ms Nelson is sooo nice and welcoming ! She takes care to spend time with all her guests individually, so you feel like you are visiting a distant aunt you never met :) Breakfast is great. Try the ackee and saltfish !

Pool was out of service when we were there. I book this place to visit Kingston, but it is far up a hill and takes lots of time (and attention ;) ) to get to the city. For food, you also have to drive half an hour down. Its a great place to unwind and watch the views, but would not use it again as a base to explore kingston :)

Beautiful views of Kingston and the mountains - and a calm and peaceful place to stay. Our host was very gracious and helpful and we had the best breakfast of our trip - ackee and saltfish and fabulous local fruit served with stunning views and a cool breeze.

It would have been great to have some coffee in the room to enjoy on our balcony.

Lorna was an exemplary host. She made me feel so welcome and was very accommodating as I alerted her to my late arrival time. The food was absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients grown on the premises. I was a single traveller and I felt very safe with Lorna! I'd go again just to continue our conversations.

Fabulous host in a fantastic location. A large country house overlooking Kingston from the aptly Ned Skyline ridge. Lorna is a superb cook serving the highest quality Jamaican dishes with exotic fruits and, of course, the world's best coffee from just up the Blue Mountains. She is also a rich source of balanced information that you will rarely glean while staying in a hotel or Air B&B . You will need a car and be a competent, confident driver to get up the steep hills but it is genuinely worth it.

We stayed in Jamaica for 10 days and Tranquility Estate was one of 4 accommodations, but by far most the best one. Our Suite was spacious and had a great aura, from the balcony we had an astonishing view on the Blue Mountains and Kingston. The quality of breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruits from the Garden and local markets. Our host Lorna is so lovely and made that we felt like at home and in paradise at the same time. We can't describe in words, how good we felt at Tranquility Estate.

I like the host who is very kind and full of wisdom. the property is a great expression of the host personality - calm and elegant. The view looking down Kingston was fantastic. and the sunrise looked from the balcony was breathtaking.

An amazing Oasis of calm and tranquility with spectacular views and a wonderful host.

Tranquility is a hidden gem in the foothills above Kingston. I stayed just one night to be relatively close to airport. (Tranquility is 1/2 hour from airport. Normally, I am more than two hours away.) The hostess, Lorna, is delightful. She is welcoming but respectful of your privacy. She offered a complementary beverage and snack shortly after arrival. I watched the sunset over Kingston. I enjoyed scenery from my personal balcony. She made sure I had a cup of coffee in the morning before heading to the airport! I will definitely stay at Tranquility again.

Our host was outstanding and we can recommend to stay with tranquility estate!

It was such a joy and pleasure to meet Lorna at her estate. The architecture and in-house design was incredible and so well chosen, you could tell it was built with love and care. A breathtaking view during the day and at night only rivaled by her hospitality and charming presence. We only stayed for a night but her personality , kind words and advice stuck with us for our remaining 20 days. If I ever go back to Kingston , her place is the first I'll go to for a much longer stay. Thank you Lorna !

We loved the hospitality of the host, the tranquil ambiance of the whole estate including many tropical plants and amazing views of the mountains and Kingston, and the excellent breakfasts served with a variety of tropical fruits. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Words are simply not enough to truly describe the beauty of this property. The views were AMAZING! Our host was AMAZING! Breakfast was AMAZING! Located in the hills above Kingston, this property was exactly as the pictures in the listing.

Easy to locate even in the dark. Great views, comfortable bed, large room. Lorna was a great host, attentive, and engaging. We were completely spoilt with breakfast. In fact, it was the best breakfast we experienced (saltfish/pancakes) and no other breakfast came close during our stay around Jamaica. We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our stay, and it set our trip off to a great start. We would absolutely, and without a shadow of doubt, stay here again. Moreover, we would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Tranquility Estate. Many thanks to Lorna, and the avocado ripened by the 8th :)
