The rooms were basic but comfortable

There were no staff. check in was via an automated machine. The on-site restaurant never opened despite a notice saying it was open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This was a problem as we were on a cycling trip and we wouldn’t have booked a hotel that didn’t have food. The listing on Booking.com is inaccurate in this respect. The rooms were basic but comfortable.

Easy access to motorway

Logging into automatic system which would not accept booking code and no help from phone. Very basic breakfast, no choice.

The surrounding of the hotel is so calm, a lot of nature and just 5 minuts by car to the restaurant area. The check in system was through machine but it was easy to understand and quick process let us entre the room as soon as finish the payment. The breakfast was good. They served us quickly.

We had three beds in the room. One of them wasn't flat enough so it was a bit uncomfortable.

This was a real surprise to us. It is a roadside hotel converted from what look like farm buildings, but inside has modern facilities and rustic charm. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and had a huge king bed. The room had both underfloor and radiator heating which made the room cosy as we arrived on a fairly cool day. Bear it in mind that Bejar is near the top of a high mountain pass and can be a bit chilly in winter. We used it as a night halt as it is close to the A66 autovia.

The biggest disappointment for us was that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment. It has a good reputation and we were sad we couldn't sample its menu. We also found the remote booking in difficult and one of the staff needed to come and assist us. If you pay in advance, make sure you get a code to get your room key. If you haven't paid in advance, make sure you give the hotel your arrival time and be prepared to give them a call if there is no-one in reception.

When we arrived, there was on body at the reception. We had to login by computer, was very difficult, the computer could not read the Dutch ID card. We must fill in many question by hand. It was unclear how the breakfast was organized. the next morning we found the place with a summary breakfast.

The restaurant was not working. The hotel is quite distant from the city. We drove to Bejar to find some food and drinks. That was not easy. For the rest - ok.

We have stayed here before -hence our revisit! we were not disappointed-a typical friendly spanish country hotel offering the greatest value for money. The owner was friendly and helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We also enjoyed the company of the horses-Muy boinito Caballos!!!!!

Unfortunately the evening restaurant was not open on the night of our stay so we had to eat elsewhere. A hreat pity but no great problem

Just off the auto via ruta de plato,with secure parking. Very clean, comfortable and quiet . Breakfast served in restaurant downstairs Perfect stop over on route south or north. Good value for money.

The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. There is a fridge and a tv in the room so perfectly adequate for a short stay. Good reasonably priced food is available in the restaurant, and a Continental breakfast is served in the morning from 9am.

The rooms aren't air conditioned, but a large fan is provided which was sufficient for us to sleep comfortably in mid July.

We stayed for one night, the room was clean and big enough with a nice bathroom. Excellent hotel near the highway with private parking.

The breakfast included in the room price was too basic.

To those visiting La Covatilla the hotel is just 15 driving and 5 to the city of Bejar, for us was perfect. The room we stayed was very warm, with view to the moon mountain.

Very convenient (and quite scenic) location for an overnight stop along the Ruta de la Plata Bejar town with restaurants, supermarket, etc just a few minutes drive Note on-site restauarant has limited opening days/times

A kettle for coffee/tea making would have been very welcome - perhaps a hairdryer too?

I booked this hotel for an overnight stay on our trip from Malaga to Cudillero. This reason for booking it was that it had a restaurant so that my wife and I didn't have to leave the hotel that night after a long motorcycle ride from Malaga. When we arrived there was only one staff member who told us that the staff was on vacation and nothing in the hotel was open. So we had to get a taxi to and from the town Bejar. Also the breakfast was two pieces of toast and a cup of coffe. Needless to say we were very disappointed. If we knew the restaurant wasn't available we would have booked another hotel. So we were badly let down by the hotel not informing us and also yourselves Booking.com for the same reason.

Lovely location plenty of parking very friendly staff would return
