Very Bad Hotel Stay Experience at Howard Johnson Kolkata Check-in Date: 23/06/24 Check-out Date: 24/06/24 I am Shah Md Bahadur Alam , Nationality Bangladesh , I recently stayed at Howard Johnson Kolkata, and my experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment I checked in, the problems began. The hotel room was surprisingly small, making it difficult to move around comfortably. Despite being promised complimentary tea and coffee, none were available in the room. Adding to the inconvenience, there were no towels or tissues provided, which is a basic necessity. The Wi-Fi speed was incredibly poor, making it nearly impossible to get any work done or even browse the internet. The worst part of my stay was the behavior of the manager and executive staff. They were rude and unhelpful, which made the entire experience even more unpleasant. Overall, my stay at Howard Johnson Kolkata was far from satisfactory, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room is great compared to the bathroom.

The staff were all great, in particular Abdul from housekeeping and all of the restaurant staff. The gym, while a little small, is a nice additional facility offered by the hotel.

My only suggestion would be to replace the plastic bottled water in the rooms with reusable glass water bottles like those in the restaurant, to be more environmentally friendly.

I would say for the name tag of Wyndham this doesn’t in any way live up to the standards expected from a place affiliated with Wyndham. We had requested for an airport pick up as we arrived very early in the morning however we did not receive the service moreover when we arrived at the hotel, we had to wait for 10mins for a person to report to the reception to receive us, in spite of giving a heads up to the hotel of our early arrival.

Near to Airport

- Extremely dirty wooden floor - Broken Tap at the washroom - Rotten sweet served with North Indian Thali - Rude Behavior of manager and reception staff - Dirty corridors corner, kept with all kinds of room cleaning stuff just next to the queen suit room. - View outside of the queen suit room is just a dumping ground with full of garbage, waste dump, broken toilet seats thrown, a total mess view. - Sent a message to the property for airport pick up request through booking.com, which has delivered instantly however no response received neither car came to airport for pickup at airport. When I landed and called them to confirm they were showing attitude by saying that we didn’t receive any message from booking.com and can’t possible to arrange car at this short time and minimum it will take 30 min to arrange the transport. That means I had to wait at the airport with 1 kid and 1 infant in arm. Extremely heartbreaking.
