Great help from the 2 girls( czech& Albanian) so kind,smily and ready to help us to what ever we want.also the clean ladies were so nice.....they worked in greece and we talk a lot.congatsulatios for everything......we will be back for sure.The breakfast next to the fire place was simply the best,and generally the beer reception was something you never forget.

Location next to the park, public transport, and shops; super helpful staff, especially Max and Kate.

There was a problem with the internet the first day, but that was not the hotel’s fault and resolved the next morning.

Faultless experience from start to finish in this heritage pub right in the heart of Stoke Newington. Brilliant location, delightful staff, fabulous room, amazing breakfast by the fire.

A lovely establishment. The room was really comfortable and I loved the style of it. Max was a fantastic host. Really made you feel welcome. Unfortunately we had to leave quite early so we were too early to take advantage of breakfast (which looked really good) but the staff were kind enough to provide us with some food to rake with us for the train. Also disappointed to not have enough time to take advantage of the massive bath in the en-suite. Shower was excellent though. Easy walking distance to the tube and EartH Studios. Highly recommended this establishment.

Someone in the next room was a very loud snorer. Can't fault the place at all.

Asked for a room for 3 people. Bed wasn’t made when we turned up. Wasn’t enough bedding for the 2nd bed not enough towels for 3 people. Spare bed was old and worn out and wasn’t comfortable to sleep on.

Clean room. Staff were helpful. Plenty for breakfast. Ideal location for the event we were attending. We raised an issue (see below) about aircon and breakfast staff told us it had been checked whilst we were out but a service engineer was needed. Clearly this should have been fixed before our visit but the room was very stuffy at night as a result.

Aircon in the room (room 1) wasn't working which made it very hot. The sash window wouldn't stay open either so we had to jam in some flannels from the bathroom to to keep it slightly open for ventilation at night. The plug in the bathroom basin was stuck so that you couldn't open or close it. It dried away very slowly but you couldn't have a basin of water if you wanted one as the lever was stuck. Cold water was actually lukewarm for some reason.

Room had aircon. Good shower, Good continental breakfast.

Bed side lights did not work.

The location was perfect, the staff friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and quiet. Breakfast downstairs in the pub was very pleasant.

The air conditioner did not work. It was only on our second night that we realised the sash window could be opened. It made all the difference.

You are asked when you arrive what you want for breakfast and what time you would like it. It stays like that for the duration of your stay. I would to be able to come to breakfast when it suits me.

Suite is very big. comfortable bed.

Limited toiletries. No lift so it would be a challenge if you have big luggages

The room and the pub was very nice.

The breakfast could have been better. One morning we didn't even get eggs. How difficult can it be to get out and buy eggs for the about ten guests?

Clean & comfortable. Informal. Newly renovated rooms. Great linens, great bed, great pillows. Delicious custom breakfast included. Would stay again. Adjacent to scenic park. Surrounded by shops and bakeries. Could walk to Emirates stadium from here. Transit is easy -- we walked from Manor tube station with our roll aboards.

I liked it all. Guests should know that it's a 2- or 3-story walk-up above a pub. Pub noise doesn't go to 3rd floor. Some street noise...but not much for London.
