What a nice experience! Original yurts and tents in a beautiful surroundings. Perhaps not in every way the standards you would normally expect but fully compensated by atmosphere, landlord and surrounding. We had a great stay!

It’s a bit more alternative and back to nature with dry toilets for instance. But fine!

We spent a night in a tipi at Le Bonheur Nomade as a stopover between Calais and Bretagne as a family of five. The tipi was clean, spacious and watertight (it rained a lot that night). It was decorated with Native American artefacts in a lovely way. The shower facilities were clean and the water warm. The toilets are unusual but clean (dry toilets, you “flush” with a pint of sawdust). The communal area had a very nice fully equipped kitchen and a spectacular open garden lounge area to have meals and hang out in. The owner Michel who runs the place with his wife is a lovely guy, always helpful and approachable, he speaks a bit of English and German but mostly French. There are lots of old and new toys for children to play with.
