Each morning we woke to a terrific breakfast. There was coffee and baked breads, along with eggs of our preferred style. Also, there's an espresso machine where a quick coffee can be brewed, as well as the local beverages created on location, which really personalizes the property. We were given a tour of the property, which is a historic distillery. The amount of love and work spent restoring and improving the property is evident. It's a magnificent place.

What could have been better would be the length of our stay. We didn't allocate nearly enough time to spend in this location, at this property. This is unfortunate. Both Helene and Armind are welcoming and warm hosts.

This is by far and away one of the best places we've stayed in in a long time, From the minute we were welcomed by Helene and Armindo it felt like visiting family that you actually wanted to spend time with. Firstly, its a beautiful property with a lovely selection of rooms that are well equipped, spacious and airy. If there is anything you cannot find in the room then it will never be too much for the hosts to find. The daily breakfast is a treat and will almost certainly include home made goods that are delicious and usually from their own fruit trees. The property is in a small village that has a couple of very good restaurants, a lovely little café and a store that will more than cover what you may need to purchase. It's handy to have a car but the wonderful beaches of Costa Nova and Torreira are just a short drive away. The pool area is perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring and is always well maintained along with a hot tub, outside dining area and everything else you could ask for. The recommendations from Armindo are great on what to do in the local area (make sure he gives you one of his hand drawn maps) and he's always available to have a chat about the local food and drink of which he's very proud. I think what speaks most about our stay is that our 15 year old daughter loved it and is already talking about going back when she can. I could go on more but i think it's somewhere that needs to be experienced for yourself.

unfortunately we arrived in a middle of a wedding fest. The day after, the garden and swimming pool stayed unclean, full of rice around and in the swimming pool. No clean up before the Monday. Moreover, the sofa bed was really uncomfortable for 2 adults, there is no doors for privacy and a window between the room (which has a door) and the salon. Owners tempted to help but nothing can be managed without an extra mattress, which they don’t have. ( IKEA mattress are very cheap and vey comfy)We have decided to leave the place 2 nights before the end of our stay. We were too much uncomfortable without enjoying the place. Our expectations were very high for 9,5 booking.com Score! But it’s a good equivalent to a very good 2 stars hotels, the kindness of the owners in supp.

It was like being in a country estate. The owners have renovated an old country house in a beautiful tasteful manner. They have a huge pool surrounded by fruit trees, as well as a hot tub in the separate pool house. Breakfast was fantastic. The hosts were most congenial and excited about their property (rightfully so). If your lucky you will get a tour! Really nice beaches are about a 20 minute drive - the beach town of Costa Nova is a must!

The people owning this place were super gentle! We got a tour around the house and they explained us how the distillery works. They did everything they could to make our time with them as pleasant as possible.
