Our room was spacious enough for my partner and our dog. It was also nice and clean. Unfortunately we forgot our swimwear so we missed out on using the pool, which looked great. Ian and Nav were very friendly, cooked a lovely breakfast and provided helpful information on places to eat in the evening. It was a good location to visit the quieter side of the lakes, we went to Ennerdale water for the first time, and it had picnic benches and a good stone track along the side of the lake which would be good to walk along in all weathers. We also enjoyed visiting the harbour in Whitehaven and the sandy beach at St. Bees.

Not hotels fault but lack of taxis available is a shame as it’s quite a way out of town

Fantastic views all around, the staff were incredible and so friendly! The room was a great size and pristine. Breakfast was amazing and the garden was lovely, a real sun trap. Definitely looking forward to staying again.
