Great location

Very slow response from management to approve rental. Initially I tried to get same day rental. No spontaneity allowed..they don’t approve same-day rentals. They informed me that they had up to 24 hours to approve the rental…26 hours later rental still hadn’t been approved and we were on our way to the property. I had to call, working around the prompts to speak to someone, to advise that I still hadn’t received approval, however, we were on our way. I was told that the only person who does these approvals was out sick, but they would work to get it approved. Very frustrating. The property was clean. The bathroom is small. Nice remodeled kitchen. No air conditioning so the windows stay open so there is a breeze. People at the nearby park play loud music until 10 or so. People on the beach lit campfires, and the smoke comes back into the house. Having live in San Diego I find this area continues to get more grungy every time I visit.

Loved everything about this property!! Close to beach (several dozen steps and right there!), upgrades wonderful and more!

The location of the property was great, as it took only a few steps to get to the boardwalk and sand. When we first got into the place, there were several flies flying around in the house, which made it a bit irritating. Other than the flies, the place was overall clean and equipped with everything we needed (beach towels, beach toys, bath towels, coffee machine and filter). The garage space was as listed (extremely tight space), so I had to park my car on the street instead, where I was luckily able to find a spot. Mondays are street sweeping days so make sure you move your car by 8am or else you’ll get a ticket. One thing to keep in mind is that it’s under a flight path, so there is a lot of airplane noise starting early in the morning and ending late at night.

Location location location! This is a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with an updated kitchen and a beach view! It's one house away from the beach. Pros: -Location! -view of the ocean -tons of beach toys, boogie boards and chairs available in side-yard -nice linens with plenty of extras including extra blankets -Neighbors were quiet during our stay -Kitchen has all the essential appliances and utensils/pots and pans, etc. -nice shower in the bathroom -stacked washer and dryer in the apartment -did I say location?! So close to the beach! Cons: -garage is VERY small. Unless your car is the size of a Honda Civic or smaller, it won't fit -walls and window/door frames need a good wash-down. Lots of smudges and dust -very few condiments in the kitchen: only salt and cinnamon. No oil or pepper -furniture and flooring are flimsy With a few improvements to flooring, furniture and regular deep cleanings, this beach house would be over the top amazing. As it stands, I still recommend because of its spaciousness, beach toys, comfy linens and close proximity to the beach.

Cute and comfy, literally right next to the ocean. We liked this upstairs unit with lots of windows letting in natural light. Parking was very tight but we knew that going in and still very happy to give this a 5 star rating. Appreciate the quick Fall stay, wish we could stay longer...

If this review of the top/back unit was based ONLY on the location of the property and also on how well the property is managed, it would be an easy 5 stars. Those two are excellent. and the trip was successful because of that. But if this property was located somewhere else, there are issues: no outdoor space to relax on the property, little inside space for family to gather, and the biggest issue: the space is very warm and very stuffy even when the outside temps are pleasant, and even with all windows open and five fans on. Sadly, I can not highly recommend this rental.
