Everything we needed was in the apt even tea & coffee. Central location very handy for pubs & Aldi. Kids had their own bed happy kids.

The property was just walking distance

Excellent location, comfy living area and well stocked kitchen. Lots of toys available for kids

Esker house is very comfortable, quiet, clean and just a couple of minutes walk to town, perfect location!

Our host, Edel, had provided me with very clear instructions ahead, and promptly answered my call with how to access the lock box for keys. She arrived on site soon after, went through how to use appliances and shower, and came back with a bag of sugar. This apartment is a quick walk away from central Donegal town, which is packed with shops, restaurants, and pubs - some with live traditional music. You pass the Donegal Castle, open for self guided tours. There's also a nice playground just around the corner. There are a couple of bigger grocery stores within a 20 minute walk. And although so close to the action, it is a very quiet small neighborhood. Edel suggested the Donegal Waterbus tour of the harbor which we enjoyed.

Being American, there is a steep learning curve for appliances and showers! After some trial and error we got the hang of turning on the power to the outlets and pulling the cord to turn on the shower control. Labels on the major outlets would be nice. We accidentally turned the power off to the refrigerator overnight! Speaking of, it is a small hotel room size fridge. Although plenty of dishes and eating utensils for our group of 6, cooking utensils were limited.Be aware, this is an upstairs apartment, over Edel's optometry office, and there are steep staircases to access the living area.

we liked how central it was, the house also provided us with everything we needed and was spotless.

Mobile phone numbers provided by host did not connect. Stress levels increased due to this. Tried continually to establish contact without success. not a great start to our stay. Explanation offered by host was poor connectivity.

Photos on site did not match actual furnishings. Mis match bedding made apartment feel more like a hostel.
