Bathroom was a little bit gloomy. Elevator was very slow. TV was very small.

The room was a reasonable size with a desk. There was plenty of storage space. The bed was very comfy. The shower was excellent and there was always hot water. The room was quiet. There was a good time span for breakfast. The staff were all very helpful and friendly

The decor was a bit on the shabby side and the bathroom fittings could have done with a shine. Breakfast was continental which was fine but was minimal. Only 3 types of cereal, croissants,rolls, cheese, ham and basic fruit. Some salami, chorizo, different cheeses, berries and yoghurt would have been easy to provide. Coffee was from a machine.

Hotel was tired and dated. Who has an avocado bath suite these days. Needs lots of TLC. Not very generous with towels and sundries. Not value for money.

The location is very good, close to Hyde Park and public transportation

The elevator is very old and a bit scary when inside the elevator car. The elevator can’t reach the exact floor, and it’s in between the floors

Sehr zentrale Lage. Direkt am Hyde Park und nur wenige Gehminute von Paddington entfernt. Wer auf charmanten Retrostil steht ist hier richtig.

Das Bad könnte modernisiert werden.

Je n'ai pas prix l'option petit déjeuner. L'hôtel mettait à disposition dans la chambre une bouilloire avec du thé, café, lait et petits biscuits. Geste que j'ai beaucoup apprécié. Le lit est très grand et très confortable Chambre très calme Le personnel très agréable.

Je ne dirais pas,...." Pas apprécié" car cela ne m'a pas dérangé, il y avait des rideaux et les couvertures étaient chaudes, mais nous sentions l'air à travers les fenêtres.

Fantastic location and rooms were clean. Only a 5 minute walk to Lancaster Gate tube station

Das Hotel ist sehr alt und somit knirscht jeder Fußbalken. Die Wasserregulierung im Bad ist außergewöhnlich alt und Warm- und Kaltwasser sind zwei unterschiedliche Leitungen. Ungewöhnlich und nicht zeitgemäß

receptie personeel kan zeker wat vriendelijker. Kort van stof, op telefoon, niet eens opkijken als er goedemorgen werd gezegd. Heel onprofessioneel.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the room very clean. Well located, opposite to Hyde Park and situated between Queensway and Lancaster Gate tube stations (both on central line). Within walking distance of Kensington Palace. The Royal Alert Hall is on the far side of the park - but also within walking distance, during daylight hours (I do not know the opening times of the park nor how well lit it is in the evening). One of the Hop on Hop off Bus touring companys also has a stop near by the hotel. The room was very clean and looked to have been reasonably recently refurbished (I would employ whoever hung the striped wallpaper because it was so well done). This is a period hotel and the style of furnishing/bathroom choices reflects both this and the price range. I have stayed at the hotel before and no doubt will again in the future.

There was no welcom pack in the room - which would have been useful. A bedside lamp/wall light - with switched that could be reached from the bed - would also have been nice.

De ligging van het hotel en de sfeer.

Wij komen al jaren in The Columbia, maar deze keer hadden we een klein rond raampje en daardoor was de kamer wat donker.

Hôtel très bien situé, quartier calme. Super pratique pour visiter Londres, on peut faire pas mal de chose à pied depuis l’hôtel. J'ai adoré le look vintage de l’hôtel, avec les chambres et les sdb dans leur jus mais très cosy. Personnel adorable, on se sent comme à la maison.

La salle de bain vintage en déroutera peut être certain mais nous ça ne nous a pas dérangé.

I really like this hotel. We were given a lovely room overlooking Hyde park. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, we even had a bath!!! Staff were really nice too. Yes the decor is dated but who cares????? The location is brilliant. 15 minutes walk from Paddington. A walk across the park to Kensington. You can walk to Oxford street etc. Breakfast is nice, just continental but suited us. I would have liked hot chocolate at breakfast, but that's just me!!!

The main lift wasn't working which was a bit of a pain, that's the only thing.

Decor…

Has everything you need. Location is excellent! Great for morning walks in Kensington Gardens, breakfast in Paddinngton, and close to the train station. Nothing fancy. Rooms are old but have what you need. Would stay here again. Good value.

Friendly staff and great location. The shower was great, too, very powerful, and the bathroom was spacious. A few minutes walk from Lancaster Gate Underground Station or a little further to Paddington. Hyde Park is across the street, which is delightful for early.moenjng walkers or runners.

The room is very basic and the power sockets in odd places. No bedside light, and the light switch was the opposite side of the room from the bed. Minor issues but worth mentioning.
