Pub and the outside area lovely

On arrival we were given a room which we had to complain about because the bed was all marked did not look clean. We were offered another room which at first glance seemed okay then we realised the pillows and pillowcases were Mark and stained Chair really shower not clean properly, carpet stained and not hoovered under the bed The tea tray was all stained as well when you go on the website you get the impression that the rooms are bigger than they are. They shouldn’t be showing a kitchen and sofa when you’re booking a double or twin room gives you false information. I do not think it’s value for money which was a shame as the pub is lovely and food is excellent. Also the staff are very polite so overall it is just the bedrooms that let it down and all it would need is an update photos put on the website and maybe some of the Furniture and the carpets updated as well. Nobody likes to go into a room with stained chairs and stains all over bedding off putting we did take photographs to back up our comments such a shame as a Rooms could look stunning The pub is lovely and outside sitting area is lovely too plus it’s disappointing you cannot get breakfast on site, unusual when they’re offering you rooms to stay in, So you have to drive somewhere for breakfast, which is An inconvenience

The whole atmosphere of the room and the pub/restaurant was fabulous. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant had a great ambience, great staff, and great food with a good selection at reasonable prices. There was also a Bible in the room, which meant a great deal to us, especially since our stay was over the Easter weekend. We met the owner by chance on the day that we were leaving, and he was very friendly and genuine, and you could tell that he was very proud of his business, which is reflected in the exceptional service and accommodation. Too short a stay!!

No frills but good value for money, friendly staff, good food

Location to event I was attending. This gave me chance to freshen up well before attending. Plenty of space for car parking close to accommodation.

Not knowing before arriving that there was no breakfasts available on a Sunday. Having to find alterative local establishment to have breakfast.

Rooms where clean, compact and very comfy. Staff were great and pie night was awesome.

Nice location

Location was good for where i was working.

Wasnt clean and the facilties was poor.

It was a quiet room with parking outside. Clean bedding and toiletries provided, tea and coffee and milk too. Good shower.

There was no hairdryer, no toaster (it was advertised as having one). My single bed in the twin room was uncomfortable. The bedside table was rickety. The armchair had a wonky leg and the upholstery looked soiled. It all looked rather tired and in need of a refit.
