the architect is nice. but photos are still misleading

Upon my sister and I checking in we were met with 8 men hanging around the property. There was a very uncomfortable vibe to the place as women traveling. There was no dead bolt on the door and no peep hole on the door either. Once we got to our room we saw three cockroaches in span of 5 minutes. The pool was so green it would not have been safe to swim in. We decided not to stay after about 30-45 minutes on the property as we did not feel safe and the cockroaches were the last straw. As we were leaving we noticed that they only gave us 1 of 2 room keys as the other one was still at the reception desk. Not a good feeling at all. If you are looking to go to Luxor do not stay on the East bank - where this hotel is located especially if your are a solo female or a group of females. I’m not sure where we would have eaten if we had stayed on that side or how we would have gotten around. We ended up checking in to a resort with three restaurants, three pools, two security check points, and right on the river for only 23 dollars more than what the embrace chargers.

The design, layout, amenities and staff was wonderful.

This hotel was fabulous. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. They collected us from the airport and brought us to the Valley of the Kings. The breakfast was delicious, the garden beautiful and the pool amazing. We only wish we had more time to spend!

Nothing - it was all perfect

The hotel architecture is beautiful, and the rooms are really nice. Its super close to the West Bank temples and tombs. The staff is very helpful, and the garden restaurant is great.

Location is great, walking distance to the public ferry and in a quiet street. Rooms are clean, spacious, quiet, cool and comfortable. Pool is a bonus in the afternoon after the site visits. Breakfast is correct, just make sure if you want to start early to let them know the night before otherwise it might not be put out yet. even though they say they start at 6am (but we were there during Ramadam so that might have caused delay in the morning).

Attention to detail during the day could be better. Tables outside had dirty table cloths and on one of our mornings were not cleaned from the day before. Swimming pool is great, however would be better if staff could attend during the afternoon and remove the used towels from the chairs. Garden is lovely but would look even better if a gardener gave it some TLC. Small details though, overall we loved our stay.

I recently stayed at the Embrace Hotel in Luxor, and although the hotel looked beautiful in the pictures, I must say that I was disappointed with my experience. Firstly, the rooms were so dark due to a lack of lighting that it was difficult to see anything. Additionally, I found lizards in the room which made me feel uncomfortable. The air conditioning in the room was also not functioning, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. However, the biggest issue I had was with the hotel's reception staff. They were unprofessional and did not seem to be properly trained for their roles. On the other hand, the housekeeping staff and restaurant staff were very kind and accommodating. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel for a long stay due to the issues mentioned above. While it is a beautiful hotel in the pictures, the experience was subpar due to poor lighting, lizards in the room, non-functional air conditioning, and unprofessional reception staff.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable, and the staff helpful and kind. The surroundings were quiet and authentic. It's a really nice place where I will definitely go back I have the chance.

The Wifi was not so good.

Nice rooms, lots of space, comfortable beds. Friendly staff. And what a beautiful garden! - an oasis in the neighbourhood.

Breakfast was quite good, but presented in a rather sloppy manner. Hard to understand that they only serve instant coffee at breakfast while they serve good (Turkish) coffee at other moments. When I asked the answer was: "only instant coffee is included in breakfast". The showers are very hard to regulate: water tuns ice cold one moment and boiling hot the other. Also: no hot water in the morning and late evening (because water heats with solar panels).

Wonderful architecture, beautiful garden, clean and spacious room and a bathroom. The staff were friendly, especially Monsieur that served us breakfast. It is located in the west side , the quiet one, but close to the ferry.

It's a lovely piece of elegant architecture. The location is a convenient one, just a few minutes to the ferry on foot (5 Egyptian pounds=20 cents on the local ferry, 15-20 Egyptian pounds=approx 80 cents per person on a private ferry) that brings you from West Bank of the Nile to the Eastern Bank of the Nile and at the foot of Luxor Museum--about a 30 minute walk to Karnak. Note that the hotel does not reveal any of this information, and encourages the use of their car service, which amounts to a $22 car ride. Our general feeling was that Embrace is full of possibilities, but is managed poorly. I can say, however, that Marwan did consistently do his best to accommodate our requests.

It was a disappointing experience, and my wife did not feel comfortable. WiFi was a constant challenge. Embrace seems somewhat rudderless in terms of customer service savvy.

The staff here are amazing! Friendly and attentive to your needs. They take great pride in their hotel, it's a local family that owns it! Everything was very clean and I liked the style of the hotel a lot. The garden was absolutely beautiful and great to sit in every morning, especially because of the hotel kitties Oscar and Jackie! I hope to make it back someday.

The decoration of the hotel is very exotic like the pictures, with a very lovely yard. The location is fairly easy to walk to the ferry station.

1. The staff is ridiculous, they would be nice to you and ASKING FOR MONEY AND GIFTS directly, even your clothes after the end of the trip. We did give tips every day, box of cigarettes etc, but maybe did not meet their expected amount of money so the waiter (an old man) is mad and cursed us after he received the money - yes I am Chinese but I speak fluent Arabic. 2. They're the most tricky people, keep forcing and selling and disturbing you with different experiences. We did accept 1 of their car hire recommendation and they charged 1000 more/50dollar more than the average price. 3. The breakfast: day 1 and day 2 are fair enough. Day 3 they only provided limited few dishes (we're 2 guys and 1 girl), we asked for more food, they acted mad and said they don't have food any more. 4. The room: there is nothing in my room. No water, no hair dryer, dirty towel, blocked sink.
