This is the best place we have stayed in Hikkaduwa and Sri Lanka in general. The rooms are spacious, modern, comfortable, with air conditioning, a fan on the ceiling and other necessary amenities. All furniture is wooden and stylish. The toilet and shower are made in a European way (which is rare for Sri Lanka). The rooms are cleaned every day. There is a large balcony or terrace on the ground floor. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. A security guard is on duty at night. In general, this place left the most pleasant impressions. If we go to Hikkaduwa again, we will definitely stay there.

Great place. We booked 1 night, but stayed for 4. Our roon was brand new, we were 2nd guests in that room. Everything is clean, bad and pillows are comfortable. Host is very friendly, communicative, ready to help. 2 big mirrors in the room, free parking and excellent WiFi. Everything is perfect.

Excellent rooms that were very well maintained. The daily cleaning was a great bonus after coming and going from the beach and being sandy. The staff were excellent too, always friendly and helpful.

Nice, clean, modern room. Close to shops, restaurants and beach. Very nice owners. They specially made a Sri Lankan breakfast for us on request.

Close to the train track so you will hear the train passing by. Can be annoying in the early morning.

Weleges Place is a very quiet place off the main road with only 4 units presently. Hence it is very cozy, the rooms are new and well maintained, bathrooms are spacious and clean. The omelettes in the morning were perfect. Overall very satisfied and would love to stay there again if I do visit.

The minute we arrived we were greeted with a friendly smile from Chamdima and Rohann. The hotel is in a great quiet location within 5 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants, it is situated in a small garden which is gated and secure. There are only 4 rooms with a further 4 being finished in April. The rooms are really big, ultra modern and extremely clean, the a/c is first class, there are also plenty of sockets. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard every day (even pulling the bed out to clean underneath it). The breakfast is amazing, fruit, pancakes/cakes omelettes/eggs, tea and coffee which sets you up for the day. Chamdima and Rohann looked after us and nothing was a problem, they go the extra mile and booked restaurants and taxis for us. We look forward to retuning next year.

It was the 12th place I have stayed in since arriving in Sri Lanka over 2 months ago, and it was by far the best. There was everything I could need. Fridge and kettle in the room, huge bathroom, lovely terrace with pretty comfortable seating, as well as sunbeds and umbrellas on the lawn. Clothes drying rack. Lots of towels (I'm usually given just one because I'm on my own), I was even given a beach towel to take out with me. My room was cleaned really well every day, when I got back the coffee cup and glass for fruit juice I had used in the morning were washed and ready to use again. Everything was SUPER clean! Breakfast was lovely, freshly made to order. Can't fault anything. Location fantastic, 5 mins walk to busy centre of Hikkaduwa yet so quiet and peaceful. Don't book anywhere else if you are going to Hikkaduwa. Lovely staff, the main lady is lovely, so helpful. Sorry but can't remember how to spell her name! She's lovely, ready to help with anything, she even moved my clothes rack into the sun so everything was dried when I returned. Well done Weleges! 10 out of 10 from me.

The breakfast was good, the rooms big and nicely renovated. Especially the bathroom was big and very nice. The air conditioner was new and worked very well, The location was perfect, quite but close to the beach and the center. In turtle saison you can feed the turtles at the beach. There was really nothing to complain about. The hotel owner even bought me a bag of Special Sri lankan tea when I was sick and did not even want to take any money for it. They also helped me to arrange a trip and find the cheapest option to get there. You really feel welcome in that hotel.

Nothing I can think of….If I would be forced to say something it would maybe be that they did not serve lunch/dinner (maybe only due to covid) but that really didn‘t bother me at all, as I like to eat in different places and the next restaurant is in 1-2 minutes walking distance.

Everything was perfect! Very helpful staff and clean rooms. Beach is about 300m away from the place. Good wifi connection.

Really clean and modern place. Maybe one could even say luxurious. You are getting a huge room with nice and spacious bathroom. On top of that you can expect tasty breakfast and great location close to restaurants and beach as well. Do note the place is "run like hotel" meaning you won't really get any local family encounters, welcome drinks or other perks. The staff is very helpful and we enjoyed our stay, it's just that it is different to other 12 or so stays around the country. :)

Clean rooms and great location.

Basic facilities like dental kit were not provided. If you are staying multiple nights, water bottles were chargeable after the first day. Based on the prices charged, these things should be included.

Quiet place - but still close to beach and main bentota! Very clean and spacious room - all brand new! Very taste breakfast!
