Beautiful tropical garden with bungalows and glam tents by a wide lovely clean white sandy beach. Delicious food, friendly staff, serene atmosphere, unbelievable sunsets. Great spot for relaxing and slowing down

I tried to reach them via email several times, I never got an answer to my questions (atm distance from resort, chances to rent a scooter). ATM is at 10 kms (the resort is in the south most part of west coast), they don’t accept credit cards, they only have 4 scooters so be prepared to pleasantly get stuck there :) They can change US dollars or Euros if you need cash. Taxis can be arranged in case you want to move should scooters not be available. Get there with a flexible mind and you’ll have a good time. There is a basic shop at the opposite end of the beach by the fishing village. Not great for snorkelling (I was told Neverland beach is).

La baia è molto bella anche se da tenere conto che è molto remota, c'è davvero poca vita intorno e dopo le 20:30 è praticamente impossibile trovare da mangiare nelle vicinanze. Inoltre bisogna avere uno scooter se ci si vuole spostare. Nei servizi offerti mi è piaciuta molto la disponibilità gratuita di kayak e SUP.

Lo staff è fatto da persone per bene ma poco accoglienti e flessibili. Forse perche sono sotto stress perche sono in pochi a gestire una grande struttura o forse perche non sono viaggiatori e quindi non sanno quello che cercano i turiti, ma in questo posto non ci si sente accolti con piacere.

Location location location! That is why you choose this hotel, not the facilities. Cozy and open reception/restaurant with an amazing owner that caters to your needs! So helpful! We rented a motor bike that got us around the island in an easy way.

We got the orange three bed cottage at the end of the houses. It was clean but not in the best condition and needs some work. Would Be good to have a couple of sun beds to each house.

les toilettes du bungalow ne fonctionnaient vraiment pas bien, nous avons dû aller dans les toilettes publiques pour les gros besoins, ce qui n’est pas idéal pour une chambre en front de mer qui coûte un certain prix. Aucune compensation... Peu voire pas de place ou ranger les affaires , pas de balais pour enlever le sable sur le sol ou devant l’entrée Le bungalow est très petit, à peine la place pour le lit et un petit couloir vite bloqué par les sacs Il y a souvent des feux malodorants qui peuvent souffler sur l’endroit selon le vent Venez en scooter sinon vous serez bloqués là bas et vous ne pourrez pas découvrir les autres magnifiques plages de l’île et les restaurants 2 fois moins chers et excellents :)

Das Bett war extrem hart und unbequem, die Kissen bis auf 1 zu dick und hart. Ansonsten alles gut.

Nette kleine Holzbungalows in direkter Strandlage. Nettes Personal. Tolles Frühstück zur Auswahl. Restaurant sehr lecker.

Moskitonetz im Bungalow war leider nicht ganz dicht.

Unfreundlich, genervter Chef - man fühlt sich nicht willkommen. Ausschließlich der Chef spricht Englisch. Bei Starkregen hat es auf die Matratze reingetropft. Auf unseren Hinweis wurde nicht eingegangen. Bungalows sehr dunkel und lieblos gestaltet. Kaputte und zu kleine Moskitonetze. Beim Essen wurde uns mehr berechnet und Roller musste früher als vereinbart wieder abgegeben werden.

By booking at this accommodation in early April, we had the chance of enjoying an entire bay without there being many other tourists. It was the most beautiful beach I have seen on Koh Kood, and probably in Thailand. The accommodation itself was a small room without much storage space and a wet bathroom. It was perfect for us but I can imagine that for some it might be a bit too modest. The facilities on the beach were also great, and we could use kayaks for free provided by the hosts. There was a small restaurant that always served us with very nice and varied food, and was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cocktails were delicious and everything was fairly priced. The hosts proposed and insisted in cleaning our rooms, which I thought was a mindful gesture.

I have some mixed feelings regarding the staff. Everyone was very kind and polite at all times but we had a disagreement around renting a scooter. I-Lay is the last resort on the island and it's impossible to reach restaurants and other attractions without a scooter or a car. The first day we asked to rent a scooter and even though we were experienced drivers of scooters (we are Italians :P), we weren't explained well how the scooter worked and were proposed to directly try to go on it, whilst the scooter was directly facing a car. In starting the scooter, our friend pressed too quickly on the accelerator and briefly lost control of the vehicle, though he stopped right after. The scooter didn't fall, and the driver was fine so we thought he just needed a minute to practice with this specific scooter before heading towards the road. The owners though absolutely refused to rent us the scooter, insisting that it was not safe for us and that if we had an accident the police would have been involved, and that there might be repercussions for them if we didn't have a driver's license (which we all did, but they hadn't checked before). It felt like an overreaction from their side and it made our life in Koh Kood considerably more difficult as we had to find another place to rent us a car or a scooter (as taxis seemed like a very expensive option). Because of this and other interactions, I thought the staff was very helpful but perhaps a bit too intrusive in our experience.

Small wooden cabin directly at the beach. Felt cozy and quite quaint. Breakfast was excellent - food in general was great. SUP, Kayak and rubber rings are free. The whole spot is quite nice with lovely details.

I-Lay is a bit far off so a scooter is definitely required if you wanna explore the island.

the bungalows are too basic and cheaply built: no table, no wardrobe, the shower and sink were cheap and not working well. The rooms are not comfortable at all. breakfast was good but Sinple. No brewed coffee. it’s not worth the price. the owner should make easy simple changes

ILay House was a perfect choice for our relaxing two week beach paradise relaxation vacation. First (her nickname) (a fellow Canadian) and her brother are amazing hosts who know how to take care of all guest needs and also take great care of their staff. The location is on the best beach on the island, the beach is pristine peaceful and picturesque. The accommodations are waterfront with amazing sunsets views. Rooms are clean well appointed with AC and hot showers, beds are clean but a little hard for us soft Canadians. The grounds are maintained every day and food is the best in the area. With a full American style breakfast we started the day off just right each day. Should we come back this way Koh Kood is a friendly safe destination and we would recommend you stay at ILay

Beach bungalows have beautiful View of the sea, Beach is nice and clean. Very variety of brekfeasr by your choice. Possibility od motorbike rent Petr 300THB /day. Great owner - she helped us with boat booking ect.

Good view. Secluded and very far from other hotels.

Receptionist is terrible from check-in to check-out. Better be good at problem solving otherwise be unnecessarily stuck there for another day or two. Locks are unsecure and some insects in the room.

The staff were great, everywhere was clean. The breakfast was fine. The beach was lovely.

There were no sunbeds. The resort was a long way from the ferry stop, it took about 45 minutes to get to our resort in a very crowded pickup truck along very twisting hilly roads, the driver both ways was very careful. Unless you hire a motor cycle there is no restaurant choice except the resort’s which is ok
