Der Strand ist wunderschön und nur von wenigen Touristen besucht

Noch nie, haben wir uns so unwillkommen und schlecht behandelt gefühlt. Wir lieben die nette thailändische Art, aber hiervon keine Spur. Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund der Bewertungen und Bilder gebucht. Leider entsprechen die Bilder absolut nicht der Wahrheit, was sehr schade ist, denn der Ort hat großes Potenzial und die Natur ist wunderschön. Die Anreise zum Hotel ist recht hügelig und das letze Stück nur zu Fuß über den Strand zu erreichen. Hier hat man uns gesagt, unsere Koffer werden die letzten Meter mit dem Roller transportiert, anschließen wollten sie dafür 300THB haben. Wir haben netterweise ein Upgrade bekommen, was nicht verwunderlich war denn das Hotel war wie ausgestorben. Als wir dann auf unser Zimmer sind, sieht man auf den ersten Blick sofort, wie runtergewirtschaftet das Hotel ist. Flecken auf Handtüchern und Bettwäsche, der Putz fällt von der Wand, die Klimaanlage klappert und ist laut. Erste Schimmelbildungen im Bad. Wir mussten dann weitere 2 Male nachfragen, wann denn unser Gepäck gebracht wird. Die Nacht war dann leider auch nicht sehr gut, die Fenster und Türen nahezu nicht gedämmt, die Tiere daher sehr laut (was okay ist, wir sind ja in Thailand) als man dann in den frühen Morgenstunden endlich zur Ruhe kam, gingen die Hotelbauarbeiten vor unserer Türe los. Geschlafen haben wir daher nicht viel. Der Pool- und Strandbereich leider genauso heruntergekommen. Rostige Nägel stehen aus den Liegen, man muss wirklich aufpassen. Es werden Strandtücher vom Hotel gestellt, welche leider so klein sind, dass sie nur die halbe Liege bedecken. Als wir dann gefragt haben, ob wir noch 2 bekommen könnten mussten wir mit dem Manager diskutieren. Als wir dann auf unseren Liegen noch von einem Obdachlosen belästigt wurden, hat sich das Hotelpersonal dafür leider auch nur wenig interessiert. Wir hatten uns für das Hotel entschieden, da uns eine gewissen Sauberkeit und Komfort wichtig sind.

I you seek for a relaxing stay at the beach, this is the right choice; located at a nice beach at the southern coast of Ko Chang, there is hardly nothing disturbing close by; some other resorts and hotels at the beach offer possibilities to have lunch/dinner there or take a short walk or ride to Bang Bao, anything else is a “longer ride”, right place to enjoy calm und peace; we were off season so just a few other guest and reduced service in means of no massage treatments or restaurant/bar opening hours

Rocks in the water at the beach, need to be careful when going into the water; the stuff was friendly but a bit chaotic, when we arrived felt like they were surprised we came, although we had a booking; service was a bit low, not really proactive offering you new drinks/food

Rooms are a little run down, noisey air con, bath plug would get stuck, doors wouldn't lock properly etc. However none of that really bothered us. It was the fact that when we arrived on we went to take a nap and noticed the sheets were damaged, most likely due to their age (normal wear and tear). We notified the staff 3 times, and finally during dinner on the first evening, they confirmed they would fix them the next day. However during dinner on the last evening, we were approached again regarding the sheet and they tried to charge us 750 baht (supposably half the value). Even though it was the same guy that told us it would be solved it was as though he deleted that conversation from his mind and continued to approach us about the issue all the way through our last dinner. Although we managed to conclude with them that we would not be paying for something that was not our fault it left a sour taste in our mouth. English skills are limited.

wonderful location. Great people. very friendly. good food. beautiful resort. loved the typical Thai bungalow with wood ceilings and white walls. the pool is GREAT ! We loved every bit of our stay.

just a little sad that there are so many rocks in front of the hotel. but the next beach in front of the massage place is great for swimming. mind the sandflies. so bring repellant. we were there during rainy season…

The building style

Facilities and service, remote location from service, the beach was horrible, full of stones and low tides. No phone in the room to connect to lobby , staff with no uniforms, couldn't recognise staff from guest or locals. Rough sand and gravel road leading to the hotel. Pool shower was broken, no much choice of restaurants only one resturant and bar, poor breakfast choises . Long walk in the beach to reach transport to get anywhere. Not a 5 star property. more of a camping do it yourself kind of place. Don't expect assistance for any emergency, at night no one around at the lobby or contact with anyone for any thing you might need. I would say a classy backpacking property not more.

family with 2 teenage kids, looking to relax and be out of the hustle and bustle. and it ticked all the boxes!! we hired a car from Bangkok and drove over which was the best thing we did! easy drive and then we had car to explore island. the hotel has one of the best beaches and the vibe is super chilled. the hotel was comfortable and clean, staff were lovely. the food was lovely and breakfast was great. if your looking for loads to do and be around lots of people then this won’t be the place for you! but if you want to escape reality then this is a great choice.

Couldn't be better. Resort is directly on the beach. It is small. It has an excellent pool directly beside the beach (important for families with kids). It has a wonderful beach. Would recommend it to anyone asking for a quiet wonderful vacation because you can't get more as you get here

Beautiful beach which is kept very clean by the staff of the resort. Direct beach access. Nice pool. Very beautiful gardens. Very quiet at night. No loud music etc.

The prices of food and drinks at the restaurant are on the high side.

location was excellent. stunning views over the sea. Room was clean and had everything that you need and bathroom was huge and very modern. The staff were so friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. Big shout out to Jack, Mai and the lovely guy who helped sort our transfer.

the location was beautiful ,the gardens and pool were fantastic! very comfortable and spacious rooms.Breakfast was great,with many choices. The massagers at the beachfront are best I’ve had in Thailand!!

the music at the restaurant was slightly too loud and always played the same songs.

property is beautiful, the beach is fantastic and our room was a great size, very comfortable and clean. the location is lovely. It is a fairly quiet area which is what we wanted for this holiday. There is a good selection of restaurants on the beach and it’s easy to get to bangbao pier for shopping/excursions.

service in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss. staff were very friendly, but orders were sometimes forgotten

The hotel grounds are a beautifully laid out garden with a beautifully integrated pool. The beach is stunning. The rooms are well maintained and clean with very comfortable beds and good ACs. The staff is very courteous and helpful. We had a problem with the hot water, and even though it was New Year’s, the problem was fixed on January 1. The reception staff went out of their way to help us with our travel arrangements. The breakfast buffet was very good. Generally, the food in the restaurant is very tasty.

breakfast was not that good (and there were no labels so you were not sure what you could eat as a vegetarian - which in the end was not much) beach bar overpriced far away from everything (which is also a plus in some ways :) no drinking water every day (only first and had to ask for new) maybe just a tad on the expensive side

The resort was literally right on the beach. It was extremely secluded, which can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. The room was spacious (we rented a 2 BR family suite), and well supplied with towels. They actually provided a double set: one set for the beach, the other set for showers. The pool was clean and had a shallow attached pool for kids.

The staff had an indifferent attitude, which was quite off-putting. To give an example, we parked in the adjacent lot, and had a lot of suitcases and bags. When I asked the receptionist to summon a porter, nobody came to our car to help, so my wife and I had no choice but to load up, and also have our small children struggle with the suitcases and bags. When we dragged ourselves into reception, the "porter" took off to show us to our room, without acknowledging our obviously difficult time with the bags, nor did he offer to help. When I say "secluded" I'm not joking. It took a *full hour* to drive to the hotel from the ferry. The roads were narrow and had treacherous curves. Everyone in the car was gripping their seats with white knuckles at some of the 20 to 30 degree grades (maybe even worse in some cases). And then, to top it off, the resort was literally at the end of the road. It got *even narrower* and turned into little more than a dirt track loaded with rocks. But, as I said, if you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway, just trying to get to the place will deter most travelers, so it might appeal to you. Not done complaining yet! The breakfast was buffet style, and did have a live chef, but the assortment of food was disappointing to say the least, especially for the price. They only had instant coffee, hours old, in a well worn flask. The first night we arrived late and had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. They were out of half the items on the menu. What was left was barely appetizing. Even the waiter kindly recommended walking down the beach to seek better fare. Also, the first night, we were hot and sweaty (from hauling suitcases and bags), and were looking forward to a refreshing swim ... only to be told the pool was closed, and it was only 7 in the evening!

Beach was nice, room size was ok. Scenic location.

Breakfast was poor. Staff had very limited English. Wash basin in room was cracked and leaked - raised with staff but no action. Some local restaurants on beach - 20-25 mins walk to Bang Bap so a little remote.
