Lovely quiet location In beautiful setting with wonderful views. Also there was milk, Prosecco and a beer in the fridge which was a really nice touch.

This lodge is self catering with beautiful views, while sitting at the breakfast bar or on the sofa. It was fully equipped and immaculate. Beautifully furnished and comfortable. Lots of areas to explore and beautiful walks too
There was nothing to dislike and it was a perfect location for a relaxing time. Very scenic and peaceful..

Excellent stand-alone lodge, with beautiful views over the garden and Painswick valley. Living room and kitchen upstairs, whilst bedroom and bathroom are downstairs. We appreciated the fresh flowers and welcome treats on arrival. Welcoming and warm hosts with extensive experience of hosting visitors. Will recommend to friends and hope to visit again.
It was a bit hard to find, I would recommend getting detailed directions prior to arrival.

The property is surrounded by beautiful and lush hills, with woods, pastures and impeccably manicured gardens, and the view from the lounge is absolutely breath taking.
The house itself has an amazing landscaped garden which can be accessed from the dove lodge, is comfortable, well equipped and has all facilities needed. It is well located and close to many stunning villages and attractions, including the Painswick Rococo Gardens.
The hosts Peter and Judy are extremely hospitable and kind, and made us feel very welcome and made sure we had all we needed. We’ll go back there again!
The property is not well sign posted, but once we realised out sat nav sent us in the wrong place and we called for help, the owners gave us plenty of info to arrive at their place

Great location with amazing views. The hosts provided us with Prosecco and home made cake & biscuits which was such a nice touch. Would certainly stay again!

Dove Lodge itself and the surrounding gardens were stunning! Having breakfast and looking at the garden in the morning was a particular favourite of mine. It was extremely clean and the hosts (Peter and Judy) were so lovely! Painswick itself is beautiful but definitely need a car as not a lot to do in the area. We took our 6 month cockapoo which the lodge was perfect for. I would 100% recommend this lodge and would love to stay again!!

An exceptional experience of home stay, felt like home. Started with a warm welcome by lovely Peter. Kitchen very well equipped to the extent that we had milk, oils, soups and even a bottle or Prosecco & homemade ginger biscuits :) lovely decor but most of all waking up to a beautiful sunrise from our bedroom was blissful. Beautiful garden and we even tried some apples and pears for free. Absolutely loved and very much inspired.
Definitely coming back again for another nature retreat.

The location was fantastic, just 1 mile from a Painswick centre and just long enough to walk. The views are amazing!!! No noise, comfortable and well stocked Kitchen ‘essentials’. We were very well looked after. Prosecco, milk and homemade ginger biscuits!!! Perfect start to a perfect stay. Travellers should contact Peter & Judy directly for rates.
