Fantastic location, loads of facilities like swings, climbing and relaxing spots. The view from this location over Lake Bunyoni is exceptional. But this comes with two really serious drawbacks...

The exclusive location can be reached with 4wd only. And by 4wd I don't mean 4wd like a Subaru limousine. It needs 4wd with off road gear. There are 2 parking spots, the lower one can be reached with a standard limousine if the driver is experienced and the limousine is strong enough for steep climbing. This lower parking however is not in the secured area of the hotel and you need to climb like 2500 high steps to reach the reception. And another 2500 steps from there to the room depending which one you have. We were there during rainy season but the track was dry so we made it with a harrier 2wd. We even made it to the upper parking with that car but it took several attempts to make it with high speed over a super rough and super steep track - nerve wrecking. If you consider to stay at this hotel - and you should!!! - try to get in contact with the staff to find a solution for your car unless you driving a hilux or a land rover or something alike. There might be a solution. I was totally blown away from that steep track because it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the description of the location. I am not talking about the dust road from Kasale to Lake Bunyoni, I am just talking about the 500m from Lake Bunyoni up to the hotel. Second drawback is the hotel itself, that location on a steep hill means that the staff has to carry whatever you want to eat or drink from the kitchen to the dining room. That leaves me with a bad feeling because they have to carry everything hundreds of steps up and later they have to carry the dishes hundreds of steps down again. Of course it's not hundreds but it is much more than what is acceptable for a waiter/waitress when serving me. Water pressure was low (understandable for that location) and warm water was kind of limited but that is standard in rural Uganda.

The view is breath taking. The stuff are really friendly and the prices of booking.com are cheaper. The food was also lovely. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The out door bathroom makes it exciting. It was a lovely stay and we intend to make another visit surely.

The shower wasn't working. We had to get water from the tap to shower yet it was coming very little. also the rooms don't have television. The boat ride was also expensive really.
