Location is nice and tranquil.

Very over-priced. The place basically has no service, which was amazingly confirmed by the manager over the phone (since he is not based there and does not come to the hotel). We called to see if we could get a few extra glasses (for water we bought elsewhere) and he told us that was not included in the price - "you pay for the room and that is all you get." We spent a whole week there - and it was a rare sighting to see anyone that worked there. We even asked for some soap and we were told that it is not included in the price. Nor is a spare glass, drinking water, an extra towel, etc. They did not even have receipt pap er to print off the receipt for payment. Breakfast was very mediocre. On top of that, my reservation via booking was cancelled twice - for no apparent reason. My colleague's was cancelled once. WIFI works only around the reception. Spend your money elsewhere in northern Peru - you will not regret it.

I liked that the property was a bit more secluded - away from Mancora - but still close by. The staff is amazing.

Leaving the property and coming back through the main gate was difficult. Constantly had to call the guys to let me back in. This should change.

LITTLE STAFF AND THE RESTAURANT DID NOT WORK

They overcharge us the VAT and lied that we can't ask for return at the airport. We asked the staff several times if they are sure about it because in ALL the hotels we stayed in Peru they reduce the VAT. The staff said they were sure about it. At the airport they said it was not true and we didn't get the return of the VAT. I tried to contact them by booking and ask for VAT return and they don't answer!
