It doesn’t get any better…… the beach, sounds of the waves crashing 24/7, and an adorable beach cottage. Deb and Jim are pros, the cottage is super clean and very well stocked. I appreciated that the linens and towels were supplied and having access to a washer and dryer is wonderful! We will be back for sure!!

Very clean, comfortable, sweet place.

Our stay here was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, serene, and it nourished my soul. The cottage was spotless and was equipped with everything I needed to cook meals with. Linens were crisp and cozy. The gas grill was antiquated and therefore inoperable, but I was informed a new one was on the way. Hearing the waves crash from our cottage was a delight. Our puppers loved the walks on the beach towards the fort and back, daily, as did we. Not a lot of restaurants near by, we were there just before Memorial Day so it suggested we were off season, the ones that were close enough, closed rather early. It's good to call ahead or check the web for details. Having the fireplace took the chill out of the few brisk nights and made things cozy. The stars at night? Well, let me tell you, I saw more stars because of the remote dark skies and they were literally outstanding! I found this entire experience to be one that I want to repeat again and again. Once again I had a wonderful time at the cabin with two of my dogs. I love staying at the end of the season when we have a chance to see some stormy weather by the fire... what a way to relax. We also got to have a bit of sunshine and warmth and we enjoyed the little deck and the magnificent view. I so appreciate how tidy the cabin is, and I especially enjoy the fireplace when there is a nip in the air. The beech is stunning, the neighbors with their pups were courteous. I appreciate the clarity of the guidelines given for dog owners. For me it is the chance every year to truly unwind with my dogs enjoying the beauty, power, and peace of the ocean in a settling where I don't need to worry about anything.

This beach is amazing! I’ll never go to the Cape again after discovering this little hidden gem. It was perfect for our family - our 2.5 year old and my husband. The place was well appointed and had everything we needed. Highly recommend. This isn’t a place where you can eat out every night and have nightlife but just a very relaxing place directly on the beach. Can’t wait to return!

Good overall. Really needs an outside faucet and hose to deal with sandy pets. Otherwise, perfect.

This property was exactly as advertised. Great views of the ocean, everything I needed was in the cottage. Loved being right on the ocean. Deb was super responsive to any questions. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a beach front vacation.

We stayed at driftwood cottage for 4 days and my only regret is that we hadn’t booked more nights ! The location is perfect, on a beautiful beach where we had long walks with our children and our pup. The cottage is very pretty and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owner was really nice, she always answered our questions within the hour. We will definitely come back !

I spent a quiet week off season and could have been happier. Walks on the beach, enjoying the sun from the little but functional front deck, and taking in the ocean. Deb and her daughter had the place tidy, well appointed, and stocked.

The cabin was so very neat and clean and well equipped! I very much appreciated the guidelines given to all who stayed as our time here was peaceful. I am so grateful to all who are willing to rent to people for whom our dogs are our family, and your guidelines made it easy to maneuver around other renters who also had dogs. Everyone was so respectful, kept their dogs under their control making it incredibly stress free. I personally loved having the cabin with the fireplace as it was a cozy option for the rainy and chilly days. The beech was specatular, so much to see and you can walk for miles. I absolutely loved my time there! Recommend!

Amazing

Gorgeous beach steps from the front door, easy to run back in for snacks etc. Miles of smooth sand to walk along, we had fun collecting sand dollars at low tide. Cute cottage with lots of amenities. Pretty off the grid, perfect for a pure beach vacation and my 4 year old wasn’t bored.

Amazing...this is the second year my family has stayed in the cottage. It is even more spectacular in person! My family and I have made many more wonderful memories!

The property is exactly as it is in the pictures: very nicely decorated, has everything you need for a week's stay, and unbelievable views of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Took nice walks with my dog down to the Fort in the morning and had amazing seafood every night. Deb was very easy to work with--especially appreciated given all of the uncertainties around travel during this particular time. Am already looking forward to planning another trip!

We had a lovely stay in the Popham Beach cottage. The area is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous beaches and dunes. The cottage is small but very comfortable and efficiently laid out with all the important things one needs. Deb communicated effectively and helped make the whole process seemless and painless. We hope to stay here again!

Very nice accommodation gives access to a legendary beach. We had a nice relaxing time. There are a lot of rules in the community, but owner made it all right for a guy that prefers a more rustic experience.

We had a great 3 nights at this cozy cottage which is in an amazing location right on Popham Beach. One of our days was very rainy but we didn't even mind very much because it was such a comfortable environment. I can definitely recommend this place!

This was a perfect getaway for our family.

Cozy cottage with round-the-clock access to a rare Maine beach. Steps away and just over the dune is the miles long sand beach. Next time we will walk the sand bar out to Fox island (at low tide). We enjoyed our stay.

Delightful cottage and location! It really is right on the ocean. Enjoyed walking the beautiful beach, walking over the sandbar to Fox Island at low tide and visiting the small villages of Wiscasset and Damariscotta. It is very dark when walking from the parking lot to the cottage at night so bring your trusty flashlight. Would love to visit this cottage again.

Deb helped with all our side trips and runs very nice operation. We have already booked for next season.

My mom and I loved our stay at this cottage. It was our second year staying here, and we hope to come again in the future. Clean, cute, comfortable, private...and best of all, on the beach! The owners are clear and communicative and make the process easy. Looking forward to coming here again!

Have been going to Popham since ‘89 staying at Oceanview CG. Rented this cottage the last few years it was part of the CG. It has always been relaxing to have the beach so close, especially with the sound of the crashing waves sleeping at night. The updates that have been made has made it much more comfortable and relaxing! It has pretty much everything needed to make the stay worry free.

If you are looking for the perfect location for easy access to the beach, long walks on the beach, a lovely cottage, and great seafood nearby.....this is the place for you. The beach is practically out your front door. You can walk for miles in either direction. We must have found 100 sand dollars while walking. The restaurant is literally 2 minutes down the road with terrific food. We will return!!!!
