The hotel Voltaire in Arles is a bit of a strange duck. The root of the problem lies with terrible acoustic insulation. Thermal insulation is not good either, however that was a lesser problem than noise. You will hear every sound related to any human activities next door/below/above; but rest assured, with egalite & fraternite, your neighbors will also be in the intimate knowledge of what you do. As such, the Voltaire is best reserved to people who look to revive their early college dorm experiences. The hotel location is excellent.

Some of the hardware provided, and plumbing fixtures, are of the bricko-brutish style; such as the two bed-side tables that are indeed large bricks. The sink was clearly a reclaimed item; a few will find that... cute?

Very well located, nicely renovated and very nice staff

No air co but we were informed beforehand. It is located in the centre (which is a plus), it may be noisy but it did not disturb us.

location is perfect, near railway station and main city points interior is cute, feel like at home kind and full of attention service

The hotel is lovely, really stylish - well designed rooms and bathrooms. Really enjoyed the balcony. Really close to the station if arriving by train. It's a perfect location for exploring Arles, and some lovely cafes, bars and restaurants right on your doorstep!

Unfortunately we didn't cope well in the heat with no air con. We did know this from the description but didn't realise how hot we would find it! The hotel does provide fans, and I think would be a great place to stay at a cooler time of year or if you handle heat well.

Excellent location close to the center and the railway station. Probably the best location in Arles for a short stay

No parking for your car, but there are parking facilities at the nearby railway station. No secure place for your bike. You can however take it up to the room and put it onto the balcony
