We have stayed in Vrbos on both coast and everything in between. Mermaid Lounge did not disapoint us. Everything as advertised and so quiet! Winter storms were no problem with plenty of blankets and good heater. Host was always a text away. Beach, lacrosse fields, stores and restaurants all very close. We will be back! We saw lots of games, toys and beach stuff for kids. This place has it all.

We enjoyed everything about this place. It was even decorated with a small Christmas tree. Easy access to bike paths and short rides to nearby beach towns.

My daughter, three grandchildren, a fiancée and great granddaughter stayed in the condo over Thanksgiving, and it was as close to being at home as you could get away from home. It had everything they needed to have a great holiday. It was also kid-friendly, and everyone enjoyed their stay. Kathleen was very accommodating in making the home available when they arrived. Would highly recommend it for anyone traveling to the area.

Our family of 6 adults really enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen had what we needed to fix meals. It is close to the beach and a reasonably short drive to Disneyland. There is a river trail for walking close by. The neighborhood was very quiet. It was perfect for our needs.

Where to start! Arrived after midnight and key was in designated location. Home is well laid out and everything you need is there. Extra linens, towels ... We used this as a central location for wedding celebrations around LA, as well as going towards San Diego. Locale beaches/tide pools/whale watching are great. Kathleen was wonderful and when we return to So Cal we will seek this excellent rental out!

This property was clean and perfect for the four of us. It has three bathrooms-2 have showers, which is great. The owner made the check-in process very easy and was very quick to respond to messages. The beach pass was a great treat. It is centrally located to Disneyland and Universal Studios as well as the beach. Highly recommend this property.

My daughter and her family were moving back to the states and Newport Beach and we all needed a fully furnished and stocked place to land for 9 nights while getting their home ready. This was the perfect spot. We mixed in fun on Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach and Disneyland . The shelves of kids books, beach toys and close neighborhood park plus state park trails for morning runs made this a very comfortable and easy place for my crew. The beds were very comfortable. Our host was super responsive and very attentive to all our needs and any questions. There are so many wonderful places to eat close by - Moongoat coffee, Fermentation Farm and Avila’s.

Perfect relaxing retreat
We arrived at the property around 8 pm due to a late flight. Kathleen met us at the house and made sure we got settled in. While our daughter and 3 grandkids spent time at Knottsberry Farm and 6 Flags, my husband and I spent time at the beach. The house is conveniently located minutes from Hunnington and Newport Beach. The beach pass provided by Kathleen came in very handy at Hunnington Beach. The house is well equipped with beach chairs, towels, umbrella and beach toys that the kids enjoyed. The house is cozy and comfortable. Kathleen was a perfect host making sure we had what we needed to make our stay memorable. We would definitely stay here again.

Close to Everything and SO PERFECT
It is the absolute perfect location and price for any family trip to California. It has easy access to the beach and the major freeways. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Kathleen is the most wonderful hostess you could ever ask for. She genuinely cares about your vacation and does everything she can to make it perfect and memorable. The house is loaded with everything you need for a beach trip, and it couldn't be more spotless and yet homey at the same time. Loved every minute of it!!

What a perfect place to stay. Wonderfully helpful host made the check in a breeze. The location is key with nature trails right there. The beach access was a gift. Close to Disney and the beaches. We plan to come back. Thanks so much.

LAST MINUTE SAVIOR
KATHLEEN WAS THE MOST PERFECT HOST. WE HAD THREE DIFFERENT FLIGHTS INTO CALIFORNIA BETWEEN OUR TWO ADULT CHILDREN AND OURSELVES. I THOUGHT TRYING TO COORDINATE ARRIVALS AND CHECKING INTO THE HOUSE WOULD BE COMPLICATED BUT KATHLEEN WORKED IT ALL OUT AND IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. THE HOUSE WAS SPOTLESS! I DID NOT HAVE ANY WORRIES OR PROBLEMS. THERE WERE MORE THAN ENOUGH TOWELS AND SUPPLIES. THE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS VERY QUIET. WE WERE USED TO EASTERN TIME ZONE SO WE GOT UP AROUND 6AM EVERY MORNING. WE ALL TOOK WALKS OR RUNS ON THE NEARBY TRAILS AND MET SOME WONDERFUL PEOPLE. THE BACK PATIO WAS BEAUTIFUL. WE WOULD LOVE TO VISIT THE MERMAID LOUNGE AGAIN!

Loved the Mermaid Lounge!
We had a wonderful stay at the Mermaid Lounge! The location was perfect and central to all we were doing in Orange County. It was clean and had everything we needed (or might have forgotten.) It was a great homebase for our busy days. The size was perfect for our family of young adults and teens. The owner kept in contact with us as we neared our arrival and made the whole process very smooth. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Orange County!

A pleasant time at the Mermaid Lounge
We stayed in Costa Mesa for a few days while in town for Disney, and the Mermaid Lounge worked out really well for us! The drive to Disney was only roughly 20 minutes, and when we weren't there, we were relaxing in the rental, watching Netflix and enjoying delicious takeout--there's a great Sushi place just a mile or two away, Sushi Imari. On our last day, we checked out Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, a nice way to end our mini vacay. The rental was a nice relaxing reprieve from the hustle and bustle of our Disneyland weekend.

Phenomenal
We had the best time! Honestly one of the best places we have stayed at. And we travel a lot! We had our own parking spot!! There were enough comfortable beds for our family of 5. The state beach pass was thee best! We used it frequently. The piano was awesome and my kids enjoyed practicing their music. The neighborhood was quiet and location was amazing! Our boys brought their RC cars and they loved the fact they could use it on the trails just down the street. We will definitely be staying here again if we come back to Cali. Kathleen was always quick to answer any questions and we checked in a couple hours early as well. Huge help after traveling all day. This place rocks!!!

Perfect for our family
This property was great for us. My grandson had his own play space, and the entire unit was plenty spacious for the rest of us. Close to the beach and other attractions. Will definitely stay here again if it is available.

Perfect little place!
I was thankful for all the space and bedrooms. Most places I looked at only had two bedrooms! The house was fully stocked with everything we needed anymore! Very clean and comfortable!

Really enjoyed the property and the location
The property is close to everything, Disneyland, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and good places to eat. The property owners were great to work with and went out of their way to assure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice place in convenient location
The Mermaid Lounge was perfect for my family of 5 adults. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was so nice, and the beds were comfortable too. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and a big dining table that we could all eat together at and play games together, was very nice. The location was handy access to freeways, shopping and the beach was just a few blocks away. We enjoyed our stay very much. Kathleen was very responsive and available to answer questions that came up.

Great Location
Great condo, close to everything, but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Huntington Beach.. Quiet small condo neighborhood located a block from a Nature Preserve, where you could walk and explore. Condo had everything we needed and enough room for everyone.

Perfect!
Everything about Kathleen's place was perfect for us. We needed something a bit larger as we were in the area visiting family and I needed to be able to work during the day and have plenty of space for my husband and I along with our toddler and baby. We booked on extremely short notice and Kathleen made sure everything was ready for us when we arrived. Communication with her via text was great, especially when she was willing to help out quickly, like when I accidently locked the keys in the unit. The location is great for being close to the beach, but also convenient to the freeway to get around easily. We'll definitely consider staying here again next time we are in Orange County.
