The property is dated. It was a bit dusty. The windows are old and the some screens were missing. The kitchen table chairs are unstable.

Great location! 10 minutes from WCU, where we were visiting our daughter for the weekend. Loved being right along the river. Enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit! Just enough space for all 3 of us. I've seen many comments on the size of the bathroom, and while it is small, it serves its purpose for the few times you need it, lol! An exhaust vent would help get the moisture out and help prevent the ceiling from peeling. Although neither of those things are a deal breaker for another stay here. It was cozy in a good way! If you want a big cabin, there are plenty of choices, but if you don't need all of the frills, this is the perfect place to stay!

The location of the fire pit needs to come back al little bit from the edge of the river and over from the pavillion, so that you have more space to actually sit around it. The drive way is a little tricky, because it is so steep, and it's right at a turn on River Road, so you really have to take your time going in and out of it.

The home was very clean and ín a great location. Just the right size for 2 people. The river was great for fishing and we enjoyed the deck, the firepit, and the picnic table.

A lot of traffic and the home is in a deep curve so be careful pulling out. Be prepared for fishing guides to park their boats right in front of the cabin for long periods of time.

It is right on the river with great fly fishing. The house is quaint and just the right size for 2 people. Linens were fresh. The kitchen is appointed with appropriate pots, dishes, etc.. There is a great covered area with a nice picnic table for outside dining and changing in/out of waders.

It would behoove the owner to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom/shower. The house is quaint which means the bathroom is tiny. Steam from the shower is affecting the paint on the ceiling causing it to peel.

Location was GREAT! View was GREAT! There was no breakfast included BUT there was a full kitchen with EVERYTHING we could possibly need to make our own meals. It was clean & inviting. I'm definitely looking forward to going back to Romance Retreat! Thank you!

The ONLY thing that could improve this property, in our opinion, would be a shade or something to make the hot tub a little more private....I felt a bit exposed. Also, my husband added that a hammock would've been awesome.

River was beautiful

Hot tub does not work. Begged for help to repair as it was the main reason I rented this cabin in the location I did. They offered 50 credit after my arrival to the Cabin so tells me they obviously knew it did not work prior to my reservation. Complete devastation. Bathroom is extremely small. Bed has holes where previous use has wore it out. The bathroom has no ventilation so the ceiling is cracking pieces hanging down.

Property sits right on River. You can hear the sound of the rushing water.

Needs small things fixed. Front door hard to open and close. Bathroom real small
