The property was exactly as described. It is in a very convenient location with plenty of good restaurants nearby. There is a guard on the property at all times, although it seems unnecessary. The pool is nice and clean. The dock was great for water taxi pick up/ drop off. We had a great time and felt very comfortable there. Thank you!!!!!!

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Donna, the property manager, also cooks and performs massages. If you stay at this property, make sure you ask Donna to cook! The property is right on the water and a short walk from the West End businesses. Far enough away to not hear the noise at night, close enough to get anywhere we wanted to go quickly. Excellent!

Wow! We just got back from our trip to Roatan. We stayed at Sunrise Harbor with our 3 children. This place was perfect for our family. The condo is spacious and has everything you would need. The kitchen is so well equipped. The outdoor space is beautiful (large furnished patio, pool, dock and seating area by the water). There is a booklet with loads of information about the island and great tips for dining and excursions... It is perfectly located and safe (there is a security guard at all times). It is close to stores, restaurants and dive shops (3-5 minute walk). There is also a grocery/convenience store nearby if you need anything last minute. We love Roatan and meeting the people there. We plan on going back next year and staying here again. Highly recommend!

The view from the balcony of this property was WAY better than I was thinking it would be from the pictures. You are overlooking the bay, and in the morning the sun rises from behind the mountains on the other side of the bay. Just stunning. The house was clean & had most everything you could need for a kitchen. Really welcoming space, the beds were comfy & large. Would rent the property again in a heart beat!!!

We had such a good time . I had adopted a family after living there 10 years ago . Since then they have had 3 children. 7,5,and1.5. The owners had caught a nice tuna the day we arrived and frooze it for us . It was excellant . There watcie man and caretake were fantastic and available, butwe did not need them because it was all perfect. We had a rental, but the short walk to the action areas is fun. All the amenities were beyond expectation. I would definitely stay here again . Truly super hosts and super home. The parrots even like this condo best over the rest. On three occasions, as they were heading out to roost, they stopped by in number for a couple of minutes to say hi to us on the expansive porch.

Our stay didn't start out the smoothest, with the dishwasher not working (bad breaker) and a leaky drain, both something that happens in a house. During both of these events, Donna was ON IT...responsive, got the right person in and got the issues resolved. Donna is really what sets this place apart, in my opinion. Sure the condo is nice, well appointed etc. etc. but Donna is the bomb. INCREDIBLY patient, flexible, available and she laughs at my jokes, which according to my wife "Aren't that good". More about the Condo...it's very clean. In a good safe location. A bit of a walk (5 minutes) from the main drag in the West End, but that also means it's quiet. Convenient to food. There is a new place a short walk away called Loretta's..HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning drinking coffee watching the sun come up. Rick and Linda are very easy to communicate with both during the reservation process and after. Then there is Donna, not sure they make people any nicer. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. It is beautiful, large condo and only a short walk to all of the restaurants and shops in the West End. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything needed to prepare meals. We only used one bedroom and the matress was very comfortable. A great value!

The condo is exactly as described. Its in a great, safe and quiet location only a few minutes walk from the main part of the town. It has everything you need for your stay. The owners Rick and Linda were wonderful to communicate with and quickly answered any questions we had. Of course their local property manager, Donna was equally as pleasant and helpful. We look forward to returning again!

Wow! Let me start with, we’ve stayed in 2 other units in this small complex & this is by far the best! I honestly almost don’t want anyone else to find out about this gem ;-) Highlights of below for those who want quick bullets: - great hosts/property manager/etc — great communication, easy to work with - comfortable beds - well equipped kitchen — instapot, knives, air fryer, water pitchers, everything a cook would need - built-in water filtration system for the whole unit! - will return - so much more We love West End for its cute quaint culture, some touristy stuff like coffee shops with internet & take credit cards but also street vendors/shops where you’ll get my favorite baleada for $1. As I mentioned, we’ve stayed at other units before both on the 1st floor — had a great time one time & a few hiccups in the other unit ... but THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT. The unit is on the second floor so you can keep the windows open without fear of someone climbing in. All the beds were comfortable, had at least a nice memory foam topper & we’re noticeably missing the silly 2” frame the units originally came with (my shins were so happy). The bedrooms had nice ceiling fans & floor tower fans which allowed us to reduce our AC usage but sleep comfortably at night. Where you really start to notice Rick and Linda are lending you their home is from the beginning. They made sure to reach out early to help recommend flights (COVID cancelled our typical airline of choice but Rick’s a retired pilot and still in the know). We even had to change our dates a bit due to flight challenges and the owners went out of their way to offer multiple options. Donna picked us up at the airport, stopped at Eldon’s for us, and her son carried our luggage up to the unit (he’s a strong teenager). After accidentally locking ourselves out, Donna really was just a quick phone call away to let us back in. She helped us with the keypad issue & we were all set going forward. Another place you can tell Rick & Linda care, is the living room. They’ve added an additional chair (which was great for our movie watching), reading lights, and extra outlets. Everything has surge protectors for when (not if) the island loses power... this is so nice for peace of mind when charging our dive computers, cameras, and smart devices. It was nice to have the option to cook meals easily. The patio has a grill. My only regret is not asking for the homemade anti-itch cream recipe :-D

I cannot say enough about this property, the owners, and the staff!! We had the misfortune of being in the Bay Islands as the Honduran Government started shutting the country down due to COVID-19. Rick went above and beyond, helping us check in 3 days early and even helped find a private charter from Utila to Roatan when the ferry was shut down with almost no notice. The condo is absolutely gorgeous! We had been to the West End before and stayed elsewhere that simply did not compare. When we return, we will absolutely be staying at Sunrise Harbour. Rick and Linda are kind and generous people and we are forever in their debt. Donna and Cleve were also wonderful. We cannot wait to come back!!

Great condo, very well equipped, right down to an air fryer and instant pot!! Very comfy beds & large bedrooms. Nice quiet location with only a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Owners/property mgrs are extremely easy to deal with. I would recommend this unit to anyone and will be back. Thanks Rick, Linda & Donna for your part in a great vacation!!

This is NOT your generic island vacation rental. Rick and Linda have thought of everything! The pictures don't do it justice. My husband and I visit Roatan often, and have stayed in many homes in West End. We really appreciated everything about this home-from first contact with the owners. Donna is a gem that greeted us upon arrival to the home, and went out of her way to help us get settled-and was a phone call away if we needed anything. The home itself is spotlessly beautiful, and well thought out for maximum comfort and enjoyment. The kitchen is more well stocked than any I've seen on the island. We love that it had a coffee grinder, as well! We really enjoyed the outdoor space overlooking the water, and the incredible breezes. The AC works great, but we barely turned it on, since the house stays so cool. I'm a light sleeper, so I really appreciated how quiet it is at night, and the comfortable beds! It's just a 5 minute walk to beach, restaurants, and shopping. There is a friendly security guard outside to greet you coming, and going. (I stayed alone the last 3 nights, and have always felt safe in West End-but it's always nice to know someone is looking out for you!) Pelican House #2 was much more house than my husband and I needed, but we really enjoyed having it all to ourselves! It could easily accommodate 6 people comfortably. Definitely recommend, and hope to stay again soon!

This was a perfect place for us to stay- after years of coming to the island and staying in a B and B we found the comfort of this to be wonderful. Everything is exactly as advertised or even better. We choose not to cook dinner while here, but the kitchen was incredibly well equipped. There was nothing lacking! We just have too many favorite places to eat to stay at home at night. The location was great for us. We are walkers so it was very convenient and also far enough away to be really quiet. We loved it here and will be back.

First time visit to Roatán to celebrate our 28th anniversary. The condo was perfect! Just as described on the web. Spacious bedrooms with super comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen with everything you could possibly need. We so enjoyed our stay. Loved the view from the balcony and the location was perfect. The short walk into town let us get our steps in!! We felt super safe walking back and forth into town, even after dark. We appreciated all of the tips the owners gave us on places for food and drinks . We tried several of them and were not disappointed. The hostess met us upon our arrival and made sure we knew where everything was Super sweet lady!! The owners are so responsive and made sure we had everything we needed as well. We would definitely stay again

First off, the owner and his crew were amazingly communicative and welcoming! We encountered a few issues during our stay (low water pressure and hot water in the showers) and they did their best to resolve them quickly. The floorplan for the bathrooms was not optimal for our situation (2 couples and 3 teen boys), but would be fine for a smaller group. We were there during the rainy season and the large patio was a life saver!! Having a full kitchen (with condiments and spices), grill and the washer and dryer were also amazing additions for our stay! Additionally, the filtered water and water jug in the fridge were an absolute must. Rick's recommendations were spot on and every one of them were excellent. The location of the condo was great, a quiet residential area only a short walk from anything that you might need. That being said, being there during the rainy season made that short walk on a muddy street less than fun, but that is outside of anything that Rick could control. Take advantage of Rick's relationships with the locals and you won't be disappointed. After meeting Cleve (Rick's recommendation for tours and transportation) we learned a lot about Rick's involvement with the island and it's residents. I truly appreciate the time and effort that Rick has put into making a better life for the locals and felt great supporting someone that is doing good things!

Well appointed condo in small complex in quiet neighborhood close to West End. Everything you could need for a relaxing and quiet stay in Roatan. Very comfortable accomodations. Easy walk to restaurants, dives shops, grocery store. Rick was in contact immediately after booking, quickly answered all questions, and provided good recommendations. We'll definitely return.

This is a lovely condo, in a lovely location (esp. for divers), and owned by lovely people who have an excellent network of folks who can help make your stay even better. Rick and Linda are exceedingly responsive, and truly want you to enjoy your stay. The condo is beautfiful -- modern, spacious, cool, and well equipped with an excellent kitchen, washer/dryer, and a spacious balcony if you like to just sit outside and read/eat/chillax. Perfect for 2 adults, 3 young teenagers. Relatively strong wi-fi -- I think 4 of us were streaming simultaneously. Kids appreciated that. The location is great, especially if you want to be close to the West End, but a bit away from noise. You are essentially next door to the Seagrape dive shop -- a shorter commute from the condo than from many of their places. We dove with Seagrape and had an excellent series of dives. Our kids had just received their junior Open Water, and Seagrape took us on dives which allowed them to see most of the sites (including a wreck!) but stay within the limits. The cafe next door (Cafe de Palo) is also extremely chill, with excellent food (remember island speed, it's all made fresh.) Not cheap, but well worth a lunch or some coffees just to hang out and enjoy the room with the view. It's maybe a 4-5 minute walk to the commercial strip -- Woody's grocery store, Sundowners bar/grill (excellent sunsets), the Wahoo Slayer berth (fun fishing), etc. etc. Rick has an excellent network of contacts who can truy help make the vacation better -- Donna the Island Cook comes to the condo and makes an amazing meal, and it's really two meals worth of food. Captain Enrick of the Wahoo Slayer takes you fishing. Cleve's tours can help you get around the island/get from the airport, and has some truly kind employees. The island has plenty of people trying to get your business, but Rick's contacts are high quality (and show up on Tripadvisor with exceedingly high ratings too.) We loved Roatan, and plan on coming back, and sure hope "Sunrise Harbor" is available. A few more restuarant recs -- Oasis is a wonderful restaurant with very high quality food, super congenial but relaxed atmoshpere, and dedicated staff and owners. The Drunken Sailor is a small Italian restaurant on the main drag with real Italian owners and fabulous pizza (daughter liked her spaghetti too.) The Thai restaurant (Blue Elephant?) was pretty tasty, and we used to live in Laos. Thanks again Rick and Linda.

In short, I’d absolutely recommend this property. It’s as-described, clean, well-appointed, private, perfectly located (for our needs) and the owners are great! -- Rick & Linda are lovely and exactly the kind of people you want to rent from - communicative, organized, honest, friendly, informative and you just get the sense that they’re happily available for you if you need them. They contacted me within minutes of self-booking the property through HomeAway and then were gracious enough to give me more than an hour on the phone to address each of my pre-travel questions and concerns. From recommendations on tours, boat captains, massage, airport transport, dive/snorkel spots, restaurants, and especially their insights on safety & security - I felt extremely well-prepared before we left for our trip. [Speaking of tours, for those who might like to venture off the glittery tourist path and visit some of the less visited communities and cultures on Roatan, Rick and Linda would be delighted to put you in touch with trusted guides.] I loved the location of the property. Not having visited the island, it was a little difficult to decide on the area that would best-fit our needs. We wanted to be close to conveniences but removed from crowds - and traveling with our 12 year old daughter, security is extremely important. As it worked out, I don’t think we could’ve picked a better location. Just a 5 minute walk from a great snorkel spot (and little beach area) at Half Moon Bay, a 5 minute walk to the beginning of the commercial/restaurant area of West End and about a 10-15 minute walk to the water taxi pier where you can grab a quick, very enjoyable and cheap ($3) lift on a panga boat over to West Bay. On the way back, you may be able to negotiate a ride straight to the condo’s dock, which is convenient after a long day out. The condo is large, with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths - a nice sitting area if you decide to watch TV (which we tried not to), a large table for dining and 5 (?) stools at the kitchen counter. There’s a full-size fridge and a wine/beer fridge for extra beverages. Another quality of this home is the sense of privacy - particularly for a condo. It’s a quiet complex and we barely saw/heard anyone else. For the most part, during our stay there were steady breezes blowing in off the water which kept the house cool. We only ran the air (which works very well) at night when we felt safer with the patio doors and windows closed.

The property was perfect and our stay was better than expected. From the beginning (even before we booked) we got our questions answered. After booking the owner provided us all the info we needed and more. He even called me up to make sure we got everything organized and arranged. The condo was very spacious for the 5 of us (me my wife and 3 adult boys). The kitchen is fully equipped and we used it every morning. We had our other meals right down the street at a different restaurant every day. We used the Seagrape dive shop (right downstairs) and they were very good. We are all advanced divers and we dove every day. The owner recommendations were right on the spot. He also checked on us a couple of times during our stay. All in all - it was a very positive experience - we will be back!

The condo unit is exactly as shown and has a well equipped kitchen, which in my opinion, is a must for an extended stay. The location is an easy 3-5 min walk into town, yet it was quiet . The owners were extremely responsive to any questions we had and the property management company was quick to action when there were mechanical issues (such as lightbulbs out, or propane tanks needing to be replaced). All in all, a very nice stay
