The house is cozy and a great location. Easy to get in and out, and like they said the driveway is a plus for winter. Tahoe Donner even plowed the driveway! Everything in the house worked fine, and Karen was easy to communicate with.

This is a perfect cabin in Truckee for an extended family get away. It has 4 bedrooms, a foosball table, a closet of games and puzzles, a beautiful large deck with a BBQ, a well stocked kitchen, and it is located in a beautiful wooded, serene neighborhood minutes from Truckee. It also provides access to a recreation center with a pool during the summer and a sledding area during the winter. The owners are super responsive and helpful. We look forward to staying here again.

I try to go every winter with my family to Tahoe, and we really enjoyed our stay. My husband and I have a 20 month old son, my mom came with us, and my sister and her family (husband and 2 boys, 10 and 14). It was quite perfect as my sister and her family took the upstairs 2 bedrooms and bath and we took the downstairs remaining 2 bedrooms. The place was spacious and clean. It also had a foosball table where we all enjoyed playing with each other. The location was super close to Safeway, Tahoe Dave's and Sugar Bowl (where we went to go ski/snowboard). Karen was very communicative and responsive. We had a great time! Highly recommend.

We booked this trip last minute during a holiday weekend. The host is wonderful and very quick to respond. The home was relaxing and in a great location. I would recommend this place for families. Lots of space and super cozy.

The only con we felt was that the cleaning needed a little more attention to detail. Other than that we would happily rent again and definitely recommend!!

We had an amazing and absolutely memorable trip here in July 2023! A stunning home (from the interior to furnishings) surrounded by the tranquility. A short drive to Donner Lake and close proximity to Truckee restaurants and shopping. The home was clean, tastefully decorated, beds were comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed dining on the spacious deck. The host was very responsive and a delight to communicate with. We hope to stay here in the future when we visit Truckee.

Great layout. Love the deck and the green space outback. Big dining table. Nice grill. Great for families and elderly dog. Owners were very responsive. Also appreciated the proximity to trails for a hike or bike ride. Would certainly come back.

This cabin is perfect!! Well maintained, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. The pictures really do not do it justice. The interior is very, very nice. The outdoor space is great, too. Beautiful deck and a huge open space. Our kids (7 and 10) LOVED the outdoor space and spent a lot of time just playing out there. The host is lovely and accessible. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We hope to be back next year.

Stayed with my wife and two young boys. They enjoyed the foosball table and we all appreciated the separate space for kids upstairs. Very clean, spacious, comfortable and functional. Was nice to have access to the garage for parking and storing ski gear. Would stay here again.

When staying in a rental property, you can always tell the difference between one that is an "income property" and one that is actually used by the owners. You can tell this one is well loved by how clean, well equipped, and generally nicely furnished it is. We spent four nights with 4 adults + 4 kids, and had more than enough room. All the kids slept in the bunk room, and the pullout trundle in the downstairs bedroom served as overflow when a kid needed some space to themselves to sleep. The backyard area was sloped just enough to build a long sled run (150+ feet) that kids from other cabins started coming out to join in the fun. Minor amenity I really appreciated - the sound system was far better than expected for a rental property...just plug in your mobile device into the receiver's USB port and you can stream to what seemed to be a 3 speaker + sub setup. Good for listening to your mountain tunes! (or also in our case...the kids listening to the Encanto soundtrack every day) I'd come back to this cabin for many reasons.

My friends and I were in Tahoe for a ski trip, and Karen's place was perfect for us. The house had ample room and bed space, everything was clean and the rooms were warm. Karen was also a generous host who was flexible with our check in and check out times. We had a great time and would love to come again.

We do this trip every year, 2 families with kids, and this was a perfect house for it! Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen and wonderfully responsive owners when we couldn't seem to get the keypad to work. All great!

Just a short driving distance from Donner Lake and about an hour from Yosemite, this property is clean and relaxing. The family had a great time with in-house provided games. The kitchen has everything a family would need to cook large meals. The grand dining table was perfect for gatherings and discussions into the night. The laundry room was great for cleaning clothes after long days of activities. Easy to locate, close to resources and a very relaxing stay. Thank you Karen & Bob for sharing your home.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin for New Year’s weekend for 9. It was such a quiet and peaceful getaway in beautiful snow covered terrain; we stoked the fire, put on a kettle, broke out puzzles, books, and movies— and even had a wonderful view of the stars at night. Being only a 20ish minute drive to the resorts was also great for the skiers in our group. Karen was very helpful staying in contact with us before and during our stay. We hope to return in the warmer months this year for lake recreation.

Wonderful stay at this warm and comfortable house, despite epic snowfall which snowed us in, and two very extended power outages. The log stove was a life-saver - it kept the living area really warm and cosy. Things we particularly noticed: the house had a great layout and was generally in very good condition; ; the kitchen was well equipped; and there was plenty of hot water. We would like to thank the owners for their flexibility in letting us stay an extra night at no charge when snowed in, and letting us access their private store closet for candles, toilet paper and so on!).

We had a wonderful stay at Karen and Bob’s cabin. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Also, it is a super location with easy access to a number of ski resorts. Our kids and dog had a great time playing in the snowy backyard. We definitely would recommend this cabin and hope to stay again in the future.

Only complaint was no access to TV channels. I used my own IPAD to access TV content and have that displayed on the TV.

We made this reservation in haste -- needing a place that was would let us bring our 10 year old dog with us -- and this was one of two places allowing pets. My wife, my daughters and our granddaughter were headed to Mitchell's Meadow for a wedding, and this place ended up being perfect with four bedrooms. The location was easy to get to, extremely clean, well stocked and had no indications that it was pet friendly (no smells, stains, of pet damage to furniture!). We has great communication from Karen, and got a fabulous surprise the morning of check-out when Karen sent a note that said the cleaners would be coming later in the day, and we could stay as late as 2 p.m. -- and this allowed us an extra few hours to relax a little longer after a hectic weekend. If we need an place to stay in the Truckee in the future, this will be our first choice!!

Wonderful home in Tahoe Donner. We enjoyed exploring all the nearby trails in the woods. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking all of our meals. Big table was perfect for family games every evening. We will definitely return to this property in future years.

A wonderful getaway for us and our 2 kids and a Dog!

It was great for our annual family trip with children, grandchildren and dog. The hosts were fantastic! We had an open line of communication when we needed it.

We all had a wonderful time in this beautiful mountain home. All ages enjoyed even with thunderstorms during summer. Donner Lake so close by and great beach for the kids. We had a beautiful family gathering that will not be forgotten. Thank you 😊
