Me and my husband and another couple joined us on our vacation along with our dog. We have a 2 year old Mastiff and he had the best time down at the brook. It's so nice to hear the water every morning in such a peaceful setting. We loved the house. It was clean and full of all of the amenities you could ever want. It is located close to everything! Had a relaxing week at Pea Porridge Pond. The house was very clean and comfortable. A few complaints about bunk beds not being comfortable. Plenty of room for my family. The pond is right around the corner, which is great! The house had everything we needed to cook. Another nice vacation at Eidelweiss Village.

The management company was very responsive and accommodating when we had requests and all contacts were professional and personable. All expectations were exceeded.

The only issue we experienced is the driveway is sloped downward and with the freezing rain and temperatures the driveway froze over and even though we have a four wheeled drive vehicle and used to winters in New England, we had to call AAA to pull us up the driveway. Having a bucket of sand or someone sand the driveway would have been nice. All in all it was a great stay over the New Years, there is parking up top which we used the rest of the week and maneuvered walking the driveway.

There is a manor available at the rental that we used quite a bit. However it was quite heavy to carry to the lake. I wish the owners provided also a wheel system to carry it to the lake. My 2 sons and I were very comfortable space wise. There is a nice BBQ that works very well. The rental is surrounded with trees which help cool down the house a little. There is no AC, but the Fans do mostly the job. The view is limited to the wood surrounding the house. Very convenient washer and dryer in the basement! We brought our little dog as the place is dog friendly, that was a big plus. The rental is also equipped with a DVD player and an amazing collection of DVDs that we used every night. That was fun!

The house was very clean, there were no insects, there was a brand new grill on the deck for our use, and there were 3 new fans in the house. The walls were in good condition, with one small area of spackling in the dining area, which was hardly noticeable unless you looked for it.
The weather was hot and humid most of the week, and the fans were very helpful.
The kitchen is well equipped and there were plenty of paper goods, detergent, etc. available.
There were lots of games available and foosball, etc. in the basement.
A few negatives: some of us didn't find the beds to be comfortable, but that has been true of other rentals we've had, as well.
There was a canoe available for our use, but it is up at the house, not down at the beach, and carrying it even the relatively short distance down to the beach was difficult. The canoe also had a minor leak, in that a few inches of water collected in the bottom while we were using it.
We've stayed in this area before, and we always enjoy swimming and canoeing in the ponds, and there are a lot of fun things to do in the general area.

This was the most disappointing house I've rented in the past 10 years. Upon arriving, the exterior of the house was unkept and the internet and TV were down. I placed a call with the rental agency and have still not received a return call (over 24 hours at this point). There was only 1 extra plug-in fan at the house, which barely worked. This is unacceptable for a house with no A/C, as there is no way to get air flowing through the house even with all of the windows open. I had two small children with us and one had to sleep in the loft bedroom, which was excessively hot with no properly working fan. The gas grill is completely rusted on the inside and not able to properly cook on. Many of the windows have either holes in or around the screens, allowing for bugs to enter. There is alot of deferred maintenance and lack of working fans. Additionally, the TV and internet did not work. I placed a call with the agency upon arrival at the house and never received a call back. This was very disappointing.

The house sits on a ledge overlooking a brook that was lovely to hear at all hours of the day. The rental was great, with little touches like trash bags and paper goods, washer and dryer, and provided soaps. While the house might not be suited to the littlest families due to the high balcony overlooking the brook, we felt relatively safe with our school aged children. We picked wild blueberries right outside the door, and enjoyed the beach only steps away! Would definitely stay again.

We loved sitting on the deck with the brook rushing by. The home was well furnished and met our needs perfectly. It's about 15 minutes to Conway for shopping and dining. The scenic drives over the Kancamagus and West Side Rd are worth it alone, not to mention the sites visited on arrival. This time we enjoyed Lost River in Woodstock and Attitash in Bartlett. The homeowners were kind enough to allow our dog to come along - it was a great spot!
