The overall impression is good , due to the hotel itself , like a jewel . It is unforgettable . The staff is very kind and helpful .

The noise is everywhere … but it is an old hotel ! We hear everything in the room : your neighbor above you , the noises beside you … The room is a little bit dark … may be because of the architecture for the sun in summer ! The wifi …. Poor . No hot water one morning ….nevertheless , quickly repaired.

Beautiful building with good amenities

Lovely heritage hotel. We had a large clean room, overlooking the swimming pool. Whilst the room was next to the reception area, it was pretty quite. The beds were large and comfy. Bathroom had a hot-tub which we did not get to use. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the evenings, which was well priced and tasty. There was also entertainment in the evening which was good.

La comida a la carta es buena y variada. Por otra parte el desayuno buffet que viene incluído, tiene opciones limitadas.

Très bel hôtel typique joliment décoré dans un style de l'époque coloniale. Chambre agréable et confortable. Très bons petits-déjeuners et dîners. Superbe piscine très agréable.

La climatisation ne marchait pas...il faisait donc un peu chaud dans la chambre.. Nous n'avons pas eu de chambre côte à côte pour notre fille, comme nous l'avions demandé lors de notre réservation il y a quelques mois...dommage... cela aurait pu être pris en compte !

The hotel was exceptional. The room and the staff were beyond compare. The food was absolutely brilliant too. We ate at the Rambagh Palace one night and the dining option at the Umaid Bahrain was far, far superior.

Breakfast served was good, Restaurant was clean and well arranged.

Didn't like the hospitality. We enter the reception after a long journey and asked for a glass of water and were told that it is self service. Could have been at least this much courteous to offer your guests some water. Hope it wasn't nationality biasedness that we will not serve locals but we will serve only foreign tourists!! So my ratings are only down for this reason. You cannot relish a palace if people around are not hospitable!!

The food at the rooftop restaurant was excellent.

The hotel was noisy at times. The cleaners made noise in the hallways.

the decor is spectacular and the staff are very friendly. The food was fantastic and I enjoyed the nightly entertainment on the roof top restaurant.

the lift is a 2 person old style lift to suit the style of the hotel. I prefer to use the stairs.

Restaurant staff was very friendly and polite. Food quality was outstanding.

Cleanliness can be a tad better

The hotel sent Manish to collect us - after a bit of difficultly finding him, and waving off the incredibly persistent Jaipur touts, we were really happy that he was our driver for the rest of our stay in Jaipur. His (/the hotels?) rate was very reasonable, he spoke good English, and he wasn't too pushy about taking guides, etc. His driving was also the best we experienced in India. The room itself was plenty large enough, and beautifully decorated. The food at the restaurant in the Hotel was probably the best we experienced in India, and we regret not eating there on the first night, as we were out in town!

The bed was hard, and the room didn't have any natural light whatsoever, apart from the shower. Also the pool was a bit cold to comfortably swim in.

Air conditioning and fans worked well. There was a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. These twp are the only two good thins about he properts.
